I have lived here 7 years. I truly feel like home in my apartment. Everyplace has its pros and cons. The PROS: The office will hold my packages when I"m out of town or not left at the front door for my husband to see if no ones home. I feel safe here. That's a big thing for me because I have lived in nice areas that were definitely not safe. The staff really cares about my needs and safety. I recently had an unfortunate situation recently and ended up needing to stay in the hotel across the street. I was of course reimbursed. CONS not all 4 gates open. Some are just exit gates and that's really annoying. I also wish we had more walkways in and out of the community. The rent changes every lease term and I can sign for more than 13 months. Like I said Everyplace has its pros and cons, but overall I love it here and it's worth every penny.
Nice views. Quiet. Good location. Nice staff.
My husband and I enjoy our apartment very much. We have some really good neighbors. The people in the office are very friendly and try to be helpful. The maintenance staff are pleasant but there are not enough of them to keep up with the needs of this large a complex, in our opinion. There has been a lot of turnover in office staff in the five years since we have been here. Love the surrounding grounds of the apartment. Think the deposit stations for "pet deposits" need to be better maintained.
After two years of absolutely loving our third-story apartment and enjoying the awesome view, my wife and I have lost our balcony, as it is engulfed in a curry odor five times a week. It is as if the new tenants below us (who are nice people, from what I can tell) appear to be running an Indian restaurant out of their apartment and thus must air it out each time meals are cooked. This odor has been so strong at times that it burns my eyes and throat. And the inside of our apartment is definitely not sealed either, as this odor seeps through our Kitchen, Laundry Room and both Bathrooms, so we have to use extra electricity to exhaust it out of these areas. Holiday weekends this year have been ruined because of this. I politely asked one of the teenagers working in the office how long these tenants have until their lease runs out, but was told that she won't provide that information to me. She then smugly told me that she would happily help us relocate to another apartment. US, not the new tenants. In over two years here, there have been a few bumps along the way, which are common while living in an apartment community, however considering the view and location, it was awesome. Now, whether inside or outside our apartment, it's disgusting, with no end in sight.
I've filed a work order to get my AC fixed about 6 times now and it's still broken. The blame it on the vaulted ceiling and just tell me they can't fix it. This went on for months before they recommended to clean the ducts. I want to move to a first floor apartment without vaulted ceiling if that is the cause of the problem. They can't get a transfer fee waived, the apartment downstairs is available and will be ready in the 1st of August but I'd still have to wait 30 days (the heat of the summer) I've been extremely polite but this is not the way residents should be treated, My living room gets to 85 degrees in the daytime, it definitely doesn't feel like home.
