I have lived here for 6 years. The first 5 were great. New management companies have come and gone without much interference.
However, in the past 6 mos. this place has gone horribly down hill.
2 pools - Both closed due to maintenance issues for months (Unacceptable in Texas Summers)
Appliances left essentially abandoned on property
Gym is nasty
Saw my first cockroach as they have no regular pest control (though paid for by residents monthly)
Construction on the apartment across the hall has left materials, trash, cigarette butts, etc.
Valet trash service has left breezeways stained and sticky.
The elements moving in here are most likely no longer screened

Carrington is an older Property, located in a convenient and upscale area. It has third new owner, Pinnacle Properties, in three years. If interested, as with any property, visit it at various times (apart from the office tour), drive and walk around, to determine whether it meets your particular requirements. Disregard the ficus tree on the front step of the information center, which died 3 months ago. After all, one is alive and the the driveway/roadside beds beds are in full bloom.
We experienced an epic failure on the property in early May. Dumpster were not emptied during the week of Fri, May 4 - Fri, May 11. Trash bags were piled by the nightly valet service on TOP of dumpsters resulting in unsanitary, unsightly heaps throughout the property. Blamed on a corporate clerical billing error, resourcefulness still should have alleviated such a situation.
As a matter of principal and opportunity to demonstrate their good faith, I requested a refund of $12 for the May trash service fee. My request, was denied as well as subsequent request for the name and contact information of our area director. Email said dumpsters did not effect my ability to reside in my apartment home and further added,
"... In addition, we do not have an agreement with you as to the frequency of the dumpsters being emptied."
While true by letter of the law, the spirit of it does not support the mission and values expressed by Pinnacle, nor is such verbiage included on the Trash Addendum in the lease.
Otherwise, it is not inherently worse than other properties and only indicates the customer service epidemic in apartment living: Apathy.
Horrible experience since Bell property took over...
Three directors in 10 mos. says it all. If well maintained and engaged important, not place for you. Walk property for yourself before selected office tour - little things tell the big story. Odds are Bell Properties will sale it , 3 sales in 4 yrs. Good location and competitive price anchores those of us who will outlast them.
