I was shown a duplex, liked it and put a deposit on it. Was told it wouldn't be ready until March 1. In the meantime, they rented the duplex to a woman with "cash In hand" rather than let me know first. I was assured there was another one "just like it" available. This was just not true. The floor looked like someone had taken an axe to it and it was then varnished over. The rental agent commented "well what do you expect the maintenance guys to do?". It needed cleaning, painting, the kitchen was grimy, etc. It was horrible.
In short, they violated their word more than once and really put the screws to me. AND they kept my deposit. That's supposed to happen when a person simply looks elsewhere and decides they like another place better. Was not the case in my situation.
Great manager, very knowledgeable repairmen,
Comfortable. Close to town and medical care. Very nice manager.
This is simply the worst place ever....bed bugs, copperheads, lack of compassion and lack of maintenance. The said management is very uncaring. River City Properties holds checks/money orders and then charges late fees or they attempt to evict. A letter was mailed to residents stating that the drinking water is dangerous and could cause long term health issues if ingested on a continuous basis. Plumbing backs up, trash is everywhere, constant noise (dogs barking, stereos) no police presence. Racing on the streets, no insulation, unsafe, voiced my issues to code enforcement and got no where. Next stop will be an attorney.
