I relocated for employment and had less than a month to move over 1,000 miles.
My husband and I came down for a few days to find an apartment and came across Mansions of Mansfield.
We were given a quote and was told the pricing change every 48 hours, so I waited a couple days to apply to see if the pricing would go down.
We were shown an apartment and explained to Angie that we would prefer a downstairs unit with no carpet in the dining area because we have a toddler. Angie assured us that we would have a downstairs unit with no carpet but stated the unit wasnt available at the moment to view but would be ready when we needed to mo e.
We left confident and happy that we were able to find an apartment in a nice area.
I was corresponding with Angie back and fourth via email.
I signed my lease and paid my deposit.
I asked Angie again for reassurance about being on lower level with no carpet and she stated I put my apartment number on the application and that is an upstairs unit with. Carpet. Which I explained to her that was the number she told me to put on the application, I'm not familiar with the apartment numbers.
I had less than a week to move so I unhappily accepted it.
When I moved into the apartment the air was not working in the bedroom, a ton of dead bugs were in the light fixture the refrigerator door would not stay closed, 2 days later the air isn't working in the whole apartment.
I was told the re.aining balance on my welcome home letter was incorrect and I had to pay more to move in.
I would like to speak with someone in corporate
When I first moved in almost 5 years ago, the management was great as well as the maintenance team. When I would ever put in a service request, it was completed within 24 hours, no matter what it was. Now it takes a lot longer. I put in a service request back in August, and I had to follow up with 2 additional requests, and it wasn't completed until almost 2 months later. The grounds and the breezeways used to be immaculate, but now there is dog poop all over and the breezeways have leaves and dirt and mud all throughout them. The rent keeps going up, but the new management is letting the property go. The only reason I am staying here is because I live in a 3 bedroom and there are hardly any 3 bedroom apartments in Mansfield, plus the schools are very good. That is the reason why I am giving the "okay" review.
