I applied for a 2 bed apartment on your website on 5/11/2022 after paying 390 dollars (administrative & application fees). I wanted some information on the apartment and the lease terms and also wanted to explore opportunities to switch to a different apartment that's available on the inventory. For the last couple of days, I have been relentlessly trying to call your leasing office and every time it keeps me on infinite wait with no one to answer. I was able to get hold of an agent on web chat yesterday and that person told me that someone from leasing office would contact me for leasing options. So far no one has contacted me from the leasing office. And I contacted the helpline on the Camden parent company and the person who spoke to me couldn't care little. If you don't contact me by today, refund the 390 dollars you charged me for the application. How can I go ahead signing the lease online when I haven't yet spoken to a single person in the leasing management?! Never once before I have had an experience with a Business like this who would not want to respond to a prospect. Also note that the responses on your web chat was very delayed and kept terminating - I had to connect multiple times and start all over again.

A few weeks ago a warning light lit on the dashboard of my vehicle. When I opened the hood to see if I could find what the issue was I noticed large rat droppings and rodent urine all over the engine bay. I immediately went to the manager's office and reported that we had a rodent problem and was asked if I wanted to place a work order for pest control to address the issue. The work order was placed (or so I thought as the office person was typing on his computer) for the next pest control visit on 11/15/2022. Fast forward to that day and as I came home and spoke with maintenance I was told that no request for extra treatment of my carport area was completed. The maintenance person then proceeded to place extra traps around my assigned parking area in the hopes the problem would diminish until the next pest control visit on 11/22/2022. On 11/21/2022 the dealer accommodated my need for service and inspected my vehicle. Rodent damage was found on the transmission harness and a day later and $598 dollars out of pocket my vehicle was fixed. After picking up my vehicle I proceeded to the manager's office to verify that pest control treated my area and to see if I had any recourse to recover some of the cost of this repair from the property. No and no (no recourse to recover any cost although the sales manager stated that the insurance adjuster was coming by the following week and she would present it just in case and no, no pest control yet for my parking area). She also stated that, Yeah, we have mice and squirrels in the complex" as if it is Ok to expect this kind of issue. In the 4 plus years I've lived at Camden Valley Park I have seen it go from a decent area to live to barely getting by with maintenance issues as they have moved from a preventative approach to problems to a reactive approach where the mantra "if it isnt broke don't fix it" attitude applies. Furthermore, the costs continue to rise with less and less return for the tenant.

I moved into Valley Park for my very first apartment. I am a Camden employee, but I chose this location and community due to the positive feel of it as a whole. I was considering between multiple communities & the deciding factor was the townhouses they offer. Maintenance has been very fast, and efficient even explaining things to me about where my reset switch was. The office personnel are awesome, and thorough which is a very important thing to me. They are also very friendly towards my dog and don't mind her barking even though I know it's annoying. Michael is a great manager, and is very proactive about handling issues and things going on with our community. There seem to be a lot of bad reviews but I'm not sure why, it's quiet, clean, and a relaxed place to be. There is nothing negative ever going on that I've acknowledged. One thing to keep in mind when reading these reviews are that EVERY single apartment you go to will occasionally have crime, it's just how it is. It's all about how the community handles it as a whole, and I feel they do a great job at that. I feel completely safe as a girl who lives by herself. I recommend and it's in a great location with a bunch of floor plans! Check it out! You'll be missing out if you don't, as it is a great place to live!
