Pretty place. Some public things are broken though, like the sauna. Dont trust Jorge in the leasing office. Trust me on that. He is either disorganized or has no idea what is going on, or both. Work with Tiffany and talk to Crystal (manager) if need be. If there is an issue (and there will be), just be kind and theyll make it happen, or will at least find a reasonable compromise. Check out Google Reviews because this platform only allows a certain number of characters.
As of 2/12/2019 they have failed to bill for utilities again, meaning that out of the nine months they have been here, two bills have been correct
This property was formerly the Westmore at Bellaire. Under that management company, I requested to talk to the Property Manager once in the two years that I lived here under their management. I don't think I have had a single issue with the management that I haven't had to escalate to her yet. This current management is garbage. Every single detail that they could mess up they have. The pool turned into a green cesspool every single week for two months because (I assume?) they stopped the contract with the old pool maintenance company. At one point there were no trash bins to throw your garbage bags into. They have community events where the noise is so loud you can hear it on the other side of the complex. They failed to get a billing system up for over 3 months, and then when they did get it set up they messed it up so your automatic payments didn't include the water/pest/trash bill. I have had at least 4 maintenance workers not leave a notice that they entered my apartment. It took me 6 work orders and the personal oversight of the property manager to get my closet shelves fixed.
Back to the issue of billing, the management didn't get a system set up until October, and November was the first bill we were supposed to be able to both A.) pay everything we should pay at once and b.) do it online. I say was, because they still managed to not bill us for water/trash. I called (4x times) about this issue and once again had to email the property manager to get someone to call me back. There were several months where we got no bill at all, and had to go into the office to pay. I called one time to find out how much I was supposed to pay, and the woman said that she couldn't figure out how much I owed (!?!?!). A year later we still haven't been billed for the right water time period.
The Westmores at Bellaire is relaxing and quiet. You have a washer and dryer inside the units without having to walk outside the apartment. You have all kinds of animal lovers and have visitors who are handicapped to park in designated areas.
Overall my experience has been good. I really enjoy the convenience to my work and surrounding areas (Galleria, Meyerland, West University, Bellaire). There is a really nice walking path along Newcastle that runs from the apartment complex through Bellaire. There are a few minor things that have lowered my opinion but they aren't deal-breakers. I would recommend you get a tour of the complex when you visit. Take special note of the quality of the amenities. The pool has been repaired twice in 7 months. They always have doggy bags supplied at multiple locations. The gate attendants are typical very thorough at checking visiting cars, of course they can't catch people who follow residents. They have a food truck every week. The staff was accessible during my leasing process. Be aware that a majority of the time you will be parking on the second floor or above unless you arrive early or rent a parking spot. Despite issues you can see that people have lived here for years.
Overall = satisfy (4 out of 5). The office staff are professional and respectful. As soon as I submit a maintenance issues, they response back immediately (within 48 hrs). They start to take care of the planting and hope to see more, because it makes the whole community more beautiful.
