You can trace the roots of Madera Residential back to 1991, but the story really started in 2008 when we bought our first apartment deal, The Lakes at Madera in Baytown, Texas. We received more than just our name from this property. We acquired it just before Hurricane Ike devastated the area in September 2008 followed by the financial crisis hitting in October of 2008. Looking back, this was a very challenging time for Madera Residential, but we now know the lessons we learned shaped who we are today.The most important lesson we learned is that by leaning into relationships and doing the right thing we can weather any storm. The proof of this is The Lakes at Madera ending up being a massively successful property. In April of 2010 we bought our second property with the help of the same investors that invested with us in The Lakes at Madera.Since then we have continued to aggressively grow our portfolio to where we are now considered an industry leader in the state of Texas. Our corporate office is located in Lubbock, Texas which we feel is a competitive advantage. New ownership is a collection of everything that can possibly be bad about an apartment complex. It has become a miserable place to live. If you sign a lease they will own you and let you know it. Property is going downhill constantly and there's nothing you can do about it. Just ask them, they'll tell you.

Since AMLI sold the property it has become a bit of nightmare. Just know what is listed on the rent is not what your going to be paying. Add at least additional $150 for things you can't remove.

The water heater in the apartment above me burst. It took them 4 hours to finally get to my apartment that had water coming out of the ceiling and out of the walls on my furniture and electronics. I asked to move units as the one I am in has large amounts of water damage and will need extensive work to fix. I work from home and make calls all day, so I made request to transfer units to a comparable unit because I won't be able to work otherwise. The total amount of time to make repairs will take over a week. Not only would they not let me transfer (in this situation that's a mild request) they would only credit me 3 days (AS A GIFTCARD) to make up for the week of work I can't do.

AMLI staff treated us like family. It was a fantastic experience to live there. I was a bit weary renting from a company as I never had before but I was pleasantly surprised! All service requests were quick and fixed, amenities like the gym and pool were awesome, nice location close to the bayou, and amazing staff that were really helpful and good to chat with. Not to mention the mail system was awesome! If not for COVID, my partner and I would still be living at AMLI. Our place was quiet, and very spacious. Lots of storage space, and tall ceilings. We made great use of their communal Barbecues, office space, and other amenities. We loved our stay and Im sure you will too with the fAMLI!

This has been a very good experience for my family. The maintenance staff is great. The management office staff is courteous, kind, friendly and receptive. AMLI Memorial Heights is a great place to live.

The staff and management at AMLI Memorial Heights are friendly, knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. I love my apartment layout and the ease of parking for me as well as my guests. Susie, Amber, Katrina and Darius do an outstanding job.
