Request for Release From Lease Due to Unbearable Apartment Reoccurring Nuisance
Dear Apartment Manager,
I have not occupied my apartment for a month to date, but unfortunately, have experienced several issues and had to put in numerous service requests for reoccurring issues that make the apartment uninhabitable-from my stance. Firstly, upon my arrival my toilet did not flush. Maintenance responded to the request to fix it and attempted to do so. The very next morning my toilet was still not able to flush. Next, mosquitos terrorized me both inside and outside my apartment. I sustained so many bites that I had to seek medical assistance and then I had to pay out of pocket for items to alleviate the mosquitos. Afterwards, one morning, I was late for work, because I was unable to shower, because I had no hot water. You would think the above mentioned would be enough for any rental tenant to endure. But it is just the beginning. I have come to live with the numerous reptile lizards, worms, mosquitos, flies and other bugs lingering at my door on the outside, but now they are beginning to invade the inside of my apartment. On a daily basis, I am having to kill mosquitos, worms, caterpillars and other unidentifiable bugs on the inside of my apartment. It sickens me to the point that I do not eat inside my house, nor have I furnished it, as I do not want my furniture to be infested with the bugs. I am ashamed to have guest over, as the one time I did, we spent our entire time killing bugs and mosquitos-it was gross and embarassing. I have put in service requests for extermination, in which was performed. However, the bugs are still here, even more so now! I should not have to live in deplorable living conditions and none of these potential hazards or living conditions were set forth in the lease agreement. Instead they charged me almost $4k ruining my rental history because I chose not to be eaten alive by all of their bugs and insects.
I have been here for 8 years and love it. Service crew is wonderful and gets the job done. Office staff is also amazing. Highly recommend Newport on the Lake.
The staff and maintenance crew are all together amazing. I've been at the complex for three years and have never had an issue that was not resolved or handled within a timely manner.
Excellent management, right now service if needed, beautiful landscape, and well-maintained. Worth every penny whatever the price!
