Lots of fire alarms and management issues in troubleshooting these. Unfriendly staff, rigid corporate policies, issues with regular water supply. Elevator problems almost every other week. Main issue is the fact that the property manger and management in general is not up to task
We'' ve loved our experience at Gables River Oaks so far. The staff has been great and accommodating, the grounds are manicured and safe, and most of all you can get ANYWHERE in 20min!!!
We live living at Gables River Oaks!! It is a luxury midrise in the heart of Houston. It has an excellent walk score and we are close tonmost of the things we love.
Gables River Oaks is a good apartment in a great location. The building's facilities and amenities are equal to or greater than other apartments at the same price point. The maintenance staff is unbeatable. The in house staff is responsive, genuine, and effective. The apartment management has been disappointing. While they are responsive and cordial to recognizing issues, their ability to transition into resolving those issues is limited. At one point in time two of the three treadmills were broken for more than 6 weeks waiting for an outside maintenance service. The TVs in the gym and common areas are more often than not stuck on infomercials, E channel, or no signal. at one point a window was broken and 3.5 weeks passed before it was replaced. I don't know if the issues with external maintenance services is the responsibility of the apartment management or Gables corporate but someone is dropping the ball! The only other issue I have with GRO is the, valet trash service; the entire apartment smells and looks like a college dorm when 25% of the residents put their trash bins outside their doors. It's a small thing that makes a big issue in what should be an upscale apartment. Ultimately, the community is comfortable and the neighbors are polite, and the issues I have the with apartment can be resolved.
We have and do, love living here. So much so that we renewed our lease for another year!
