I have lived here for 4 months and am so happy to leave. Overall the apartments are nice but they are the most expensive in El Paso and for what. Unless you are a wild party animal that does not care about noise or the cleanliness of your amenities then dont move here. I have had to clean up the pool area on multiple occasions. I have had to call the cops on multiple occasions from neighbors screaming and partying until 4 am. Next I have two dogs that on multiple occasions have had experiences in the dog park where party goers from Malo vomiting in the dog park or eating suspicious stuff in the dog park. Sunday I walked out and there was vomit right in front of the entrance to the apartments. If you dont mind people stomping up and down the stairs all night and the door gates slamming closed constantly then this may be the place for you. Another issue here is there are no speed limit signs so people go flying through the parking lots and on the streets and have almost been hit by multiple cars while walking my dogs. The maintenance guys smoke cigarettes right in the entrance way and smells up the entire building and they like to pretend work... you will see them sitting in trucks and smoking cigarettes on the regular and like to play favorites with people at the pool. My last complaint is if you are military READ your lease!!!!! They say its 30 day notice but yes you have to give 30 days but then have to pay the entire next months rent which our housing allowance wont cover because you will end up paying double rent so their "military clause" isnt what the normal clause is at every single other apartment has been that I have lived at for 15 years. Oh one more thing you will find drunks roaming the parking lots at all hours of the night from the bar ...they are loud disrespectful and its scary.
Love the location. Amenities. Looks.
Horrible place to live. You will be very uncomfortable
Like an artist's palette, Montecillo offers a beautiful montage of living at its best. Magnificent homes, parks, and shops are carefully arranged in this lively and colorful panorama. In addition to being a scenic masterpiece, the native deserts nurture higher values than those that are purely tangible. It's the intangibles like community interaction, housing diversity, transportation options, physical activity, and lifelong learning that are the cornerstones of smart community building. These ideas and concepts are but a few of the major concepts that move Montecillo in the direction of sustainable, affordable and resourceful communities.
