Follow up made me drive from S Arlington to view this community.
Called in a work order in the wee hours and maintenance came out same day to fix.
For an older community, this complex was surprisingly quiet and well kept. My apartment was clean and ready for move in. I felt safe living here. The pool area, however, often had dirty water and needed maintained more often. Also the fitness center was in need of overdue maintenance. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall I would recommend for the price and age of the complex.
My wife and I sent an email expressing our interest in a 2 bedroom apartment. We received an email back quoting us prices on 1 bedroom apartments and asking when we would like to come view one. I called in to talk to the leasing agent and was put on hold TWICE and then hung up on. So I responded to her email explaining that my wife and I are actually interested in two bedroom apartments and that we just called in and were hung up on, and we are interested in coming to look at a two bedroom unit. I gave her my phone number so that she could get back in touch. The next day I get the exact same form email stating "here are all our great features, here's some info on our one bedroom apartments."
If your leasing agents can't even take the time to field a phone call or read an email so they can properly respond then why should I come spend my money to stay here?
There are plenty of apartments in Carrollton. I think we'll look for one where their employees actually have the time of day to communicate with us.
