Free rent until 2020!
Location is excellent and finishes are nice, but I've had non-stop issues with receiving packages/mail (apparently it's "policy" now to let carriers leave packages outside your door instead of in package lockers--since I travel often this means packages are left for days and are often stolen. Over Christmas alone I had over $300 worth of packages stolen because of this) trash services, getting maintenance issues taken care of (maintenance guys themselves are great! scheduling not so much), and both resident and guest parking (no guest parking is ever available, and if a guest parks in the garage they'll be towed, but if another resident is parked way over the line/blocking your car, there's "nothing they can do." I've been late for work because I literally cannot get out of my parking spot). Pretty much the only thing going for the place now is the fact that it's so close to the lake/trails.
The location by the lake is fantastic. Love having the option of using DART right next door. There is plenty of guest parking, the amenities are wonderful. Property management staff are always helpful and professional and resolve issues very quickly. Apartment is quiet, great, friendly neighbors.
Honestly this is a hard review to write. The location is perfect but thats where things end. This is a luxury apartment complex. The problem is it is really not. The staff that works here is doing the best that they can but it was built extremely poorly. 8 spots for visitor parking is crazy. The parking garage is also a lawyers dream. Corners that you cant see around and are almost always in the verge of crashing into someone. The elevator goes out every two weeks and the elevator company is not responsive in a timely manner. The parking garage is filthy. You would think a power wash would be a good idea every couple weeks but it doesnt happen.
If you are looking for a place to live there are much better options. I was so excited to move in and now equally excited for my lease to run out so I can get a better arrangement.
I love the location of the property - beautiful location near the lake. That said, it is poorly constructed and noise is terrible - I can literally hear my neighbors talking. Not yelling, or loud, just talking. Likewise I hear the neighbors above walking and just living. Like other commenters said, the visitor parking is a a joke. Only 11 spots for a community with close to 300 units. Unlike other apartments with street parking or some other options, being near White Rock Park prevents any available street parking for backup. I am lucky to have not had any damage to my car or bike theft, but the garage is very poorly constructed with tiny spots and poorly blind spots - some residents drive very fast through the garage even though there is no visibility at the corners and the potential for accidents due to narrow spacing very high. The water often smells bad and the whole building often has an odd smell. For the cost of rent the place is not worth the money.
Like I said, the location is great, but there are other properties on white rock lake I have since found with less rent or less issues.
The community is in a great location near the lake. The staff is friendly and attentive. The fitness center is the best Ive seen in a apartment community and the shared amenities and halls are always extremely clean.
