I lived at Preston Hollow Village - 2019 - 2021 At the end of my first lease my rate went up dramatically. It was a higher rate than the rate for the same unit above and below me (both available at the time). When I first signed on the lease rates were higher and the renewal came in at the old pricing (much higher than what was being offered at the time). The staff / management showed no mercy and were not willing to change my renewal to the new LOWER pricing being offered for exactly the same units above and below me. This was also in the midst of the first COVID lockdown in May 2020 and the leasing staff had no care or regard for the situation. Since they didn't have the common courtesy of matching what was being offered on the website I moved to another unit on the same floor. I was quarantining out of state and options were limited so I leased space down the hall to minimize transition time and more importantly avoid potential exposure to COVID (there was cases in the building). Please note that there are only two elevators in the building and you are at the mercy of which one is operating. Also, there's no coordination of moves and when I moved out 3 other people were moving at the same time - imagine the extra time and cost associated. - Maintenance Requests were backed up even before the Feb 2021 Ice Storm - they had to bring in another team just to catch up - Impromptu emails from Managers and Assistant Managers concerning fire inspections and other requests were usually tied to threats of fees if you don't comply - Parking was so bad because the staff didn't keep a register of reserved parking spaces and new residents had no place to park - Fire Alarms go off randomly and were CONSTANTLY an issue - If you don't re-lease BEWARE of your final move out inspection and costs - it seems like a form of retaliation - take your own pictures and make sure you have professionals clean the place - normal wear and tear isn't in their vocabulary
