i like them these are some nice place to live
I loved the model! But when I moved in there were a few things that were not what I expected.... I had asked the lasing agent what the differences between the model 2 bedroom and the unit i would be moving into. She said the counter tops might be slightly different color, but everything else should be the same. I had even mentioned that I loved the built in book shelf and the garden tub in the bathroom- neither of which were in my unit. When I moved in, I turned in a request to have a few things fixed. I mentioned I would like some touch up paint on the front door. The leasing office said I could drop of a plastic container, and they would put the paint in it and then give it back to me for the touch up paint. I gave them the container in July of 2016 and it is now June of 2017... so i guess I won't be getting that paint...
In the 11 months I lived here, The pipes beneath the kitchen became loose and water flooded the bottom of my kitchen sink, one of the drawers in my kitchen broke and I couldn't open it, and, last but certainly not least, the heating element in my oven CAUGHT FIRE... The maintenance man said "don't worry about the oven, this happen to a lot of them in the complex..." ( is that supposed to make me feel better? I don't think I'll bake anything again until I move out...)
All of these issues I could handle, but the thing that has turned me off of Kensington Square is the fact that I called the leasing office about 75 days before my lease was up to tell them that I had some family that was sick out of town and that I wasn't sure about signing my lease renewal because I wasn't sure if I would be able to stay or need to move closer to my family. I was told it would be okay to wait given the circumstances. Later, I called the office a few more times to tell them I think I need to move closer to my family. The told me to send an email with my notice, so I did- 2 weeks later i was told that i would have to pay an extra month for not giving enough notice
