You can trace the roots of Madera Residential back to 1991, but the story really started in 2008 when we bought our first apartment deal, The Lakes at Madera in Baytown, Texas. We received more than just our name from this property. We acquired it just before Hurricane Ike devastated the area in September 2008 followed by the financial crisis hitting in October of 2008. Looking back, this was a very challenging time for Madera Residential, but we now know the lessons we learned shaped who we are today.The most important lesson we learned is that by leaning into relationships and doing the right thing we can weather any storm. The proof of this is The Lakes at Madera ending up being a massively successful property. In April of 2010 we bought our second property with the help of the same investors that invested with us in The Lakes at Madera.Since then we have continued to aggressively grow our portfolio to where we are now considered an industry leader in the state of Texas. Our corporate office is located in Lubbock, Texas which we feel is a competitive advantage. Terrible. Construction never ends. Management and leasing constantly lie about expected finish dates. I was told construction would be finished in July of 2019. Now its not expected to be finished until the early months of b 2020. Too many other problems to go into. Run from this place!

As someone stated below in 2018, the construction is never ending. This is a review from a new resident in 2019, I am still dealing with construction problems. My apartment is inhabitable between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. A few apartments got flooded AGAIN. Fire alarms caused people to start evacuating falsely. The management company dance around the problem (elephant in the room) or trivializes it. All of this and I've only lived here 3 months. Can't wait until my lease is up. Do not move here, it's not worth your money.

Cirque is okay. Just ok. I was coming from another high rise in The Flats over at the Heights at Park Lane. There you actually feel like you're part of a community, they have a gorgeous club house for use, their pool actually stays in the sun until about 5pm, and the surrounding area has everything you could possibly want. Cirque is overpriced. The amenities are not all that, the pool is incredibly small and in the shade by 2pm at the latest. They charge an arm and a leg to reserve anything, and that's on top of the monthly amenity fee you're already paying. There was a fire last August and the halls are still stripped as I write this review in May. The sound proofing is poor, considering how much noise can come in from stadium and freeway traffic. Steve the concierge is constantly changing how many valet spots you're "allowed" to have. the lights in the units and in the hallways are entirely too bright and electric looking. Had to buy a bunch of warm light lamps just so I could drift to sleep without necessarily being in total darkness. Overall just not worth the money or hype. I will be leaving end of lease.
