Takes at least 3 requests before you will have a maintenance issue addressed. New management develops policies on a whim. The new policy may be only imposed on a certain sector of tenants. When asked to see the written policy, it will not be forthcoming as it does not actually exist. Phone calls go unanswered & messages left do not receive a return call. At times, there is not even an option to leave a message. Rents are higher & not comparable to other apartments that have better amenities. There are no washer/dryer connections or microwaves at these apartments. Although there is a "no pet" policy, several tenants openly have dogs.
I have appreciated the maintenance team here at Brookhaven apartments the most in my 3 + year tenure at this mediocre place. Management is absent, unavailable, and innefective, the apartment itself is old and in serious need of multiple upgrades (including a plumbing system that has ruptured every winter), but the view of the golf course at sundown is incredible.
It's place to live without frills.
Office Staff. There are no other real issues. The maintenance is ok, and the area is great! But the miscommunication with office staff and poor professionalism is horrible. They are rude and not pleasant.
I love the location and the people in the office are super helpful. There were some issues with repairs that had to be "refixed" several times, however, and it would be so great if we could put money on the laundry cards even when the office is closed. I work in Plano, and the office doesn't open until after I have to be at work and closes before I get home, so I can only put money on the laundry cards on Saturday between 10 and 3. Also, my rent price goes up with my lease renewal a LOT, and I feel like that's unfair if nothing is changing.
Brookhaven Apartments rests in a beautiful residential area, with golf course views, outstanding landscaping, lakes and water fountains. All our homes have large private patios and balconies with access to courtyards and peaceful views. We have six floor plans, with sizes ranging up to 1125 sq. ft. Our location puts us just minutes away from the LBJ Freeway, Dallas North Tollway and IH 35.
