Dallas Christian College, which opened in 1950 in the city's downtown area, has since moved its campus to the suburb of Farmers Branch, just to the north of Dallas, Texas. From the school's earliest days, its mission has been to produce graduates who seek to influence others in a variety of ministry settings, as well as business and education. Today, Dallas Christian College maintains its Bible-led curriculum through a range of degree programs for undergraduate students. Approximately 2,000 students have been trained for the ministry at DCC, and about 350 enroll each year, many of whom rent student housing in Farmers Branch. The setting provides a relaxing environment for student living, while putting students within reach of downtown Dallas.
Those in Dallas Christian College student housing may pursue an education through any of the school's four departments: the Bible Department, the Arts and Sciences Department, the Business Administration Department and the Education Department. Through these divisions, students may work toward a Associate of Applied Science, a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree, the latter of which requires 12 hours of Biblical Greek study. Even within these divisions, students may pursue a wide variety of majors, including Urban Studies, Worship Arts, and Biblical Languages.
Off campus housing provides many students with a comfortable and convenient living space as they work toward any of the aforementioned degrees. A Dallas Christian College apartment allows students to enjoy the serene atmosphere of suburban Dallas, and make a short trip to the city should the occasion arise.
