I can not say enough good things about Arella Forest and the team there. My father was depressed and isolating from us all and desperately needed to be around people (and closer to us). That was about 7 months ago. Fast forward and he's a new person. Active and has that sparkle back in his eyes again. Thank you Paula, Erin and Nancy for not always being there but for actually caring for him they way you all do!
Prices too high
Overall experience is good but could be better. The inside of the buildings are mostly clean but the hallway carpets are left with stains a long time before the stains are cleaned up. The outside of the buildings is awful. All the car ports and garages are dirty, rusting and the paint is pealing. Dead and almost dead shrubbery has been there fo more th 2 years. Otherwise, my personal maintenance issues in my apartment have always been addressed the next day. Also, all the activities that are talked about in the ads, are strictly managed by the residents. The food isn't always good, and the dining area is highly lacking. It's just a couple of tables that are part of a huge room that is also used for games, parties, has a sitting area with a medium size TV screen, and sometimes the residents get together and show their own movies on DVD. There's also a pool table in there and a piano that one of our residents plays for about 1 hour on Friday night before the 2 hour Friday night entertainment. They also have a small bus that takes residents to doctor appointments, banks, Walmart and grocery stores. Residents have to pay extra for riding the bus and the bus does NOT have a lift to carry rollators, walkers or scooters.
All of the employees are friendly and helpful, I LOVE my apartment, which feels like a home to me not an apartment, love the idea of walking outside my door into a wide well kept hall instead of stepping outside...mail, everything is inside and in extremely hot, rainy or cold weather you don't have to walk outside to get to any of the offices, mail, etc.
