I lived at Crescent Pointe Apt for 2 1/2 years always paying my rent ($1375) on-time. I lived in 2 different apartments during my time there. The on-site management and maintenance crew are very professional and amazing in getting things done. However, I was shocked when I moved out in Dec. 2019 due to an exorbitant price for carpet replacement especially considering I have never had a pet. When I moved out of my 1st apartment (very noisy - near front gate) I was charged $124.00 carpet replacement fee, I was told that soiled carpet was unable to be thoroughly cleaned so a portion had to be replaced but since the carpet was 4 years into its 5 year life cycle and only a portion needed replacing so in Nov. 2018 I paid the $124. Fast forward to December 2019 when I moved out into a home. I received the move-out statement in January which included $1066 for carpet replacement. I still don't have a pet and the area in the photo provided by management shows a small area soiled near the kitchen. When I moved into the quieter apartment(Aug. 2018) I asked if the carpet could be replaced due to separation in the underpad in the living room. I was told they couldn't replace the carpet since it still had a year left on the life cycle. I brought this up to management again when I renewed my lease in May 2019 but I was told that they don't replace carpet while there is a resident living there but they would clean the carpet. That never occurred. All this is to say when I moved from one apartment to another within the complex I was charged $124 for carpet replacement but when I moved out I was charged $1066. I have tried to get an explanation from management but I was told it corporate policy. No explanation and in less than 2 weeks it was turned over to collection agency. I am currently working with a legal advisor to follow up on this extremely unfortunate occurrence. Renter beware is the best advice-truly a shame since the property and on-site management are amazing

Previous Management Company

I moved out of the place just this month, and I couldn't wait to get out of there. This is one of the worse apartment complexes. The place is a complete fraud, they are complete cheapskates, and are not good people at all. But, if you want a place strict on rules and penny pinchers this is the place for you. First of all when I signed up for the lease initially their website advertised free cable and internet. That is right, only in the clubhouse, but not in your apartment. You are 100% responsible for all cable and internet. Other BCS apartment complexes pay for free basic cable and internet, then you only have to pay if you want to upgrade. Then, along the way they charge you a lot of hidden fees that I was not aware of and many other apartment complexes do not charge. For example, their garbage valet. Sounds good right, but they charge you a non-negotiable fee of something like $16/week. Worse still, if you put out your garbage the day before the scheduled pick up, you get a nasty email from management warning you not to do that or they will charge you $25. The maintenance guys are generally cool and responsive. The problem is they have been "instructed" my management not to have a lot of small talk with guests. Their thinking is that if you get too cozy with the maintenance guys, you may ask them to do some maintenance work or favors. One of them damaged the wall after fixing the toilet. He said he would fix it, But never did, I reminded him twice. Also, do not make mistake of selecting a 3rd floor apartment. They do not have elevators and it is a hassel to go up and down there every day. Plus the security gate to get out takes forever and the code for the guests never work. It is best not to even have the darn thing. The pool looks nice, but there are no seats for shade. They also put too much chemicals in there and it irritated my skin so much I had to stop using the pool. On move out day, they did not even say good bye. GOOD RIDDANCE!
