Aspen Heights is the best place to live in College Station. They have so many great amenities as well as a friendly and helpful staff. They go above and beyond for everyone.
The units were built with cheap materials...especially the carpet. They do not effectively take care of assessing move out charge charges to responsible parties. If the responsible party doesn't own up to the damage, they split it up among all tenants.
Aspen Heights is literally one of the worst complexes to live in College Station. Me and my roomates were the first to live in our house and we had so many problems it was unreal. The houses were made on such a cheap budget and you notice. The first week we had a major rat problem that continued throughout the year, our ceilings had water damage which they literally never fixed even though my room mate put in 4 maintenance requests for it, at one point water was literally leaking out of the downstairs fan from the pipes in our house, the washer and dryer is so cheap in these houses that they ruined multiple shirts of mine, and the internet is so bad that you sometimes cant even do your homework. The houses just feel so cheap, thin, and poorly made and you notice it all the time. These issues are astonishing for a complex that is literally brand new. The resort style pool is so much less fun than the Cottages or Junction pool and dont expect the jumbotron to always have a good game on because its almost never even on. The Dog Park its literally just a little space of grass like its actually so horrible I never even saw a single dog there. All the pictures online of the big open grass areas that look so nice are actually from another complex in the nation and this Aspen doesnt look anything like that and instead feels like a hospital from the lack of greenery because its all concrete and the cheapest landscape they could buy. It actually blows me away that they still have pictures of a different complex on their website. Honestly if you are reading all this please do not make the same mistake we did by living here, its so overpriced and compared to other places in College Station, Aspen is just lacking in every single amenity you can think of.
Aspen Heights is extremely nice on the inside and a large home for the money! Maintenance is always there within an hour (even at 3am when youre locked out). I am very impressed with aspen heights, the only problem we had was right after move in with bugs, but thats expected for a newly built complex and they took care of it and havent had a problem since. The pool is relaxing and doesnt get too crazy like some other complexs and theres a huge Jumbotron which they always have something playing on. Fun place to live, definitely recommend!
ITS FREAKING TERRIBLE!! First off we have rats which is ridiculous for a brand new complex but don't worry they provide the rat traps. We now also have ants but you have to put a matience request in and wait till they get to you. The management is a joke and do not know what they are doing. The space is significantly smaller than advertised (we actually measured). There is no sauna (which was advertised). Our pipe line to our downstairs toilet blew in the first week then they thought it would be ok to bill us $65 to come unplug it and they have had to come unplug it multiple times until they realized it wasn't us, it was the pipes. We have already had to have our dryer replaced, then they did not connect the new one correctly then blamed it on us. They have huge dumpsters with these cedar surrounds which makes it more pleasing to the eye but it blocks many corners and people just fly through the streets. We had a water leak in our attic that created mild and the matience denied it until we went and got a mold kit. They then proceeded to spray the drywall will bacteria killer (after we called 10 times and put in matience request) but didn't replace the moldy drywall which is a huge health risk.I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are much nicer, more friendly places in college station that would love your business and appreciate you as a resident. They office does try but unfortunately they just don't have it together and have a list of excuses to feed you for any problem you may have. Good luck:(
