The apartment and complex were okay. A little out of date, but generally maintenanced. I had some issues with a noisy and older AC unit, and about 15 minutes of hot water in the shower. Each of these were explained by management as the norm. Additionally, the hot tub was regularly out of maintenance and unclean when I lived there. If these arent problems for you, then your stay will be enjoyable.
When I first moved here one and a half years ago it was a fairly nice place. That is no longer the case.
They charge you for concierge trash service which is not an option. It used to go to a trash compactor near the back of the complex behind a gated fence. Approximately seven months ago it no longer worked so they brought in a large dumpster which they placed in the parking lot. I am a reasonable person and if it had been temporary I would have accepted it. When I ask, the standard answer is management hasn't decided whether to fix the existing one or lease a new one. In the meantime I have to drive past a smelly dumpster in the 100 degree weather here in Dallas. People from outside the community dump their trash in at night. Can we stop paying the concierge trash service? No, they say its part of the lease.
Fees are added every few month. For instance you have to pay a fee for them to accept packages. That changed since I've moved in. Its a gated community so they cant come in. Of course the gates work 2 weeks out of the month.
The jacuzzi hasn't worked since I've been here, not that I would use it anyway, but it is an amenity they advertise.
One of the covered parking spaces had a tree fall on it a year ago and its bent down making it unusable for a car to use. Looks terrible.
There are many other issues, but I will leave it there. People are leaving left and right.
Would not recommend.
Well, it's great if you don't have work orders. I've lived here 3 months, and my a/c has gone out 3 times, with this recent time seeming to have broken the unit entirely. They're putting off the fix unless it's at least 85 degrees outside, regardless of the fact that I've been running a fever this week and live on the second floor. So essentially, they don't care if their residents live uncomfortably, and that should always be the first goal of an apartment complex.
Pros - The complex is quiet and feels safe. Balconies/patios are not clutered with stuff, common grounds are kept clean and in good condition at all times, dumpster is always taken care off, pool is always clean as well as the laundry and fitness area. The maintenance staff are great and take care of things reasonably fast.
Cons - Poor window and door sealing lets cold air in the winter or hot air in the summer in, increasing heating or cooling bills. Some AC units are just too old, which also results in higher electricity bills. Apartment features could be stepped up a notch.
