Great location, great place to live
I have been satisfied with many aspects of living here at the Terraces (> 5 years). I want to say I've had excellent service during my early years. In my latter years the front desk provides vibes sort of like "I don't care anymore" That was attitude was likely generated from the top...
I've experienced some crisis too, like the time the roof of my garage was falling down due to mold. Each time (5 total) the roofing was repaired, however it did require 5 incidents to identify the cause of the leak.
Another time, during the 2015(?) October flooding, I experienced a minor leak in my apartment (bedroom...right over my head). The latex painting bulged to collect the majority of the drip. I told the maintenance team at the time that I could live with the damage if they could assure me I would not be charged a re-painting fee when I move out. I'm still here...so fingers crossed they will keep their word... I do not want to get stuck with a repainting-fee for something beyond my control.
Along the same theme of roofing...There were months I could hear an animal scurrying above me. I live on the top floor of the building and I was mortified to awaken an animal(s) frolicking above me. I took this animal encroachment seriously and reported it to the management desk right away. I will say the scurrying of animals lasted about a year after my report to resolve that concern.
It's a good place to live. The maintenance is very responsive. I would ask for an immediate reduction in renting price because of the uglificaton of storage containers and mattress stores. Ask yourself how that betters a neighborhood. It worsens it.
Great place to be. A semi secluded atmosphere and quite. A hidden gem.
I very much enjoy the management and staffs appreciation for their residents. They make it feel like a family community...Im in my third year here, and it really feels like home.
The new property management company along with the people in the office are so much better then before. It's a complete 180 compared to the issues I dealt with when I moved in and other issues.
