Until my current upstairs neighbor moved in I would have rated living here as Excellent as I am close to work & pay a reasonable rent. I've lived in 3 apartments here beginning January 2001. Now my neighbor stomps and thuds and booms around starting at 7am or earlier & continues until well after 10pm. I work 6pm to 12 or 2 am & sleep during the day. The noisy, elephantine neighbor is ruining my daily enjoyment of life 24/7. Can't someone tell them to be considerate of the downstairs neighbor?
The first few months of living at Solaris were absolutely miserable. The apartment was unfinished and it took over 4 months and constant harassment to get them to finish things like putting handles on cabinets, putting a lock on the outside door, resurfacing an almost nonexistent countertop, working refrigerator and dishwasher etc. Overall there were over 35 maintenance requests that I had to submit and follow up on daily to get done, and still it took almost 4 months to complete. the place is unbelievably loud,people have no respect for neighbors.walls,floors and ceilings are paper thin,stairs and porches are wooden which makes it shake and scream when someone walks on it. maintenance speaks very poor English(the guy working with us is very nice but it's hard to understand him or explain what you want).when you put your order online,most common answer to is is "we don't have that part" or they just simply check it as "complete" without looking.Office NEVER calls you back
My first issue with my new apartment was the un-level floor. This isn't a huge issue, but is one that cannot be remedied. A more troublesome issue is the shared hot water supply. It is difficult to do things like wash my hair as I am constantly at risk of being burned or blasted with cold water. Neighbors are often loud, playing music late into the night and honking horns early in the morning. Aside from these issues, I am pleased with my apartment.
My A/C is constantly out. It's been an issue for 4 months now. I have a work order that hasn't been complete since January. There are roaches everywhere. I ask for pest control to come by and they never do. The grounds are filthy 24 hours a day
