Favorite apartment in four years as a UT student. Every time I have a problem, the management responds immediately. Not sure why other reviews have a different story about that. They've been incredible since move in.
I am subleasing my room and had not yet moved out. There are three more days until I move out and 4 more days until the person taking my room moves in. I was running some errands and came back and everything in my room had been moved and I mean everything. Not a single thing was where I had left it. Not a single thing. They put my stuff in trash bags. Moved my furniture even though it was in the same place I had originally gotten it. They took everything out of my drawers, even though most of the things were out already, and put my few pairs of clothes i left out so i could have a change of clothes into my bags that I had already packed? They took my towels off of the towel rack, folded them and moved them. They moved important documents of mine. They took my shoes and put them into my own ziploc vacuum seal moving bags. They took things that I had in my bags and took them out? My other roommate who was home did not hear a knock or anybody announce they were coming in. She thought it was me vacuuming my room and was freaked out to learn it was random strangers in the apartment. I was shaking with fright because I came back and had no idea what had happened. Apparently it was maids cleaning my room. Nobody notified me or anybody else. I had not yet moved out. When I went down and confronted the office they said either the people moving out yell at us or the people moving in yell at us because it is not clean. So its a lose lose situation. All I asked was that they notify someone before sending the maids and that they shouldnt touch everything I had left in the apartment. Chad basically made me feel like I was in the wrong for coming down to the office and voicing my concerns. I have never been made to feel so invalidated or violated about something before.
Parking is an additional fee, and I have lived here a month while still on the waiting list for a spot. That's fine if you're a student, but I would not recommend this place to any young professional. I needed a quick sublease because of a sudden job change and move to Austin. The previous tenant had fleas and it took me a month to find out. Real disaster of a move in and I've regretted ever since.
