I have been here 3 years and I thought it couldn't get any worse but then we got new management and they changed my mind about that. Currently financially I'm not able to move.

Presently I'm setting a hot apartment I called the leasing about 4:00 p.m. and it now 6:31 p.m.

We got a notice that if our apartment temper was not at 80 they would not send any one fit after hours.

When I called the person said if the repair man is coming I won't hear back from her if he is not she would call me.

Obviously I'm going to have to take another direction with this because my rent just went up $40.00 and I can't get them to fix the air condition.

This is not a good place. It is unsafe, my apartment was broken into. The grounds are very dirty full of dog feces and trash. There are bugs in the apartments and not adequate pest control. Its very noisy if you live on the first floor. Parking lot is used to park old cars and as a body shop. Parking lot is full of pot holes and gates are always open and broken. Gate code has not been changed in years. Office staff is detached and clueless. They sent constant text messages in all caps to tenants about building notices without prior consent. The location is the only good thing but schools in area are very bad. Gym is open only during office hours.Laundry facilities are filthy. Live elsewhere.

Peaceful yet fun Neighbors are respectful and if they are going to blow off some steam they keep it to the weekends. Decent place to live for the price

The parking is horrible, too many vrhicles here that doesn't belong, with for sale signs in them and those that never moves

Helpful Information

You can trace the roots of Madera Residential back to 1991, but the story really started in 2008 when we bought our first apartment deal, The Lakes at Madera in Baytown, Texas. We received more than just our name from this property. We acquired it just before Hurricane Ike devastated the area in September 2008 followed by the financial crisis hitting in October of 2008. Looking back, this was a very challenging time for Madera Residential, but we now know the lessons we learned shaped who we are today.

The most important lesson we learned is that by leaning into relationships and doing the right thing we can weather any storm. The proof of this is The Lakes at Madera ending up being a massively successful property. In April of 2010 we bought our second property with the help of the same investors that invested with us in The Lakes at Madera.

Since then we have continued to aggressively grow our portfolio to where we are now considered an industry leader in the state of Texas. Our corporate office is located in Lubbock, Texas which we feel is a competitive advantage. Our vision is to continue to expand our influence of adding value to people and communities across Texas and beyond.
