Located in Amarillo's most prestigious residential neighborhood is Windtree. We're nestled in a beautiful area, creating the perfect escape from ordinary apartment living. Although well insulated from the traffic and noise of the street, we're just minutes from Amarillo's largest shopping center, I-40, the Medical Centers and downtown. Beautiful mature landscaping with a lot of trees and shade. Everything you need for living is here at Windtree.

Great location. Pet friendly
The office staff is very proficient and very nice to deal with! I am loving my new apartment!
I Love the location in town of these apartments. Have lived here almost 3 years and I'm mostly happy here. Near tons! of places to eat, grocery shop and shopping, like the mall, TJMaxx, Natural Grocer, Braum's, too much to list. There's nearly everything you need right here--all the popular coffee shops, Acai Bar, Texas Firehouse, World Market, JoAnn's Fabric and Crafts, Starbucks, Palace Coffee, Sonic, Whataburger, Wendy's, Hobby Lobby isn't far, Tuesday Morning, popular taco and pizza places, Buffalo Wild Wings is down the street and so is Lowe's and Walmart. A very affordable storage place is around the corner, great schools, Windtree Apartments allows pets, incl dogs 50lb and under (excluding certain breeds though like pittbulls, Rottweilers and German Shepherds..) but it's very pet friendly and does not have a massive pet deposit. Tons of Big trees all around the complex making it really attractive. The ladies in the office are actually nice! Two pools. They gave us a Free membership to Gold's Gym since the exercise equipment they have is kind of limited. Gorgeous big Party House on property to rent for special occasions like graduations or birthday parties. Many apartments have Large patios or balconies (compared to other apartments you usually see). The office staff Tries to help with problems, they really seem to care. Yes, it's an older complex and not perfect but it is WORTH driving by and having them show you current apartments that are available (Just Ask!--but you have to have your state ID to do so) With all this I mentioned, esp the awesome location in town (Popular area), the rental prices seem really reasonable for the location. Many apartments have a washer and dryer room which I have and I LOVE it since laundromats Suck, right?! Really though--I have a normal size W&D. Sometimes they run move-in specials for new tenants. I love these apts. I live in the back, way further down Brennan and it's way more quiet and peaceful back here. I love it.
I lived in building 24 at Windtree apartments. We never got to use our dishwasher because it was messed up from the day we moved in. We called 4 different times and they would shut it and say it works fine. Than we would try it and soap would just sit in the bottom of the dishwasher and not clean the dishes. We gave up after the 4th time. Our stove had a loose wire and they came and said it looked fine but we talked to a maintenance supervisor at another property and he said that could very easily cause a fire so he fixed it for us since they wouldn't fix it. Toilet leaked we called three times and not 1 time did they come out to fix it. Heater went out and took them almost a week to fix it because they didn't figure it out the first time than had to go back because they didn't do it correctly the 1st time. Had 3 major pot holes in our parking lot.
We moved out and dropped off the keys to the office staff on the 15th of April, talked to the maintenance supervisor the 14th at night when we took our final load he said just take the keys in the morning it will be fine. We find out 35 days later that we were sent to collections because we never got a bill or a phone call after we gave them all of our information. We than called the office for a final bill, and photos because they charged us $100 for a trash out. They could never furnish a move out bill till 60 days after we moved out, and could not provide photos for the trash. We left one small charcoal grill there and they charged us $100 for it. We are now getting threatening letters from the collection agency, the apartments won't fix it because they said we don't have proof we moved out on the 15th but the office staff processed our move out on the 18th 5 days after we moved out and 4 days after they got the keys. They have no drop box so we couldn't drop it off that night. They are charging us $127 for their screw ups and no one will own up to it. Corporate said they won't fix the problem.
This is the absolute worst apartment I have ever lived at they do not fix things air conditioners go out in a lot of units the staff is horrible and rude one lady hold rent checks for past months then try's to charge double rent their fees are outrageous and they will put a long on your door for just about anything save yourself and don't move here
