Would really like to set up a tour of these apartments in November
I've lived in Smoky Crossings for 2 1/2 years and have honestly never had any serious complaints. As a matter of fact I have nothing but praises for this place. Yeah the rent is a little high but if you include all the amenities you get here, it is really a good deal. Because of my occupation in the past, I was continually having to move from city to city and had to live out of apartments, even though I owned a house so I can honestly say that Smoky Crossings is probably the best available place around for the price.
There are slightly over 400 units here with an approximately 95% percent occupancy rate. If you loosely count on 1 1/2 adults on average per unit at that rate, the percentage of people that say "don't live here" is only around 1% (and I'm being very generous on that number). It doesn't matter where you choose to live; there will always be a small percentage of people who have nothing better than to complain about everything. All the parking lots here were recently resurfaced or resealed and of course, there is a small group complaining that the speed bumps are too big. I really praise the personnel who work hard to keep this a family friendly place. Unfortunately that sometimes includes having to address uncomfortable situations to maintain some modesty within the abundant family friendly facilities here.
When I was looking to move here I also read some negative reviews and almost walked away but being stubborn as I am I found Smoky Crossing to be the best place in the Seymour area. I am right between the city life of Knoxville and the Tourist fun of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and only a short drive into the Smoky Mountains. Come look for yourself and tell the ladies up front that "The Crazy Engineer" sent you.
The leasing agent told a female resident here that she had to cover up her pink one piece swimsuit or leave the pool. The leasing agent claimed it was a thong swimsuit. The young woman posted a picture of herself in said swimsuit on the internet, and it was definitely not a thong, and no more inappropriate than any other swimsuit. She told her there were other residents and she might excite the teenage boys. Totally inappropriate. I would never live here. I wonder what other aspects of the residents' lives they try to micromanage
Awful. Absolutely terrible. Live in a homeless shelter before you live here. The people are trash.
This place treats women who pay rent as second class citizens. They removed a resident from the pool citing she was not dressed appropriate in a ONE PIECE BATHING SUIT.
Please do yourself a favor a choose a place that respects ladies. After all, would you want your mother/sister/daughter treatedthe same?
