Its not what Im looking for
At the end of June, before our 7/1 payment was due, we went to the office to ask what our final payment would be. It was normally around $1440 per month, but we asked that the water be adjusted since we were moving out in the middle of the month and did not want to pay for the entire month's usage. I think the person in the office was Adam and he told us we only needed to pay $892.06 for July. Around 7/3 we both paid our half of the amount he told us. We moved out the weekend of July 14-15. We turned in our keys, gave our forwarding addresses and talked to Adam again to confirm that our account was all paid. We received a document on 8/23 stating we owed $132.93. That was the first correspondence either of us received. There was no break down as to WHAT the $132.93 was for. Both of us tried calling the office multiple times and not one person who worked there could tell us. We were told that some one would call us back but that NEVER happened. A week went by and that's when we both started receiving the phone calls from a debt collector. The debt collector called at least 6 times before finally leaving a message. It wasn't until we talked to the debt collector, that we finally got an answer as to what the charges were for. We tried calling the office multiple times that day but again not one could tell either one of us if this was a legitimate phone call and what the amount due was for. Since we were told by Adam that we would not owe any additional fees, you can understand why we were so confused. Since we could not get an answer from anyone at Wynchase, I called the debt collector back and paid the amount due. Our account is paid in full now, even though Adam told us that we WERE paid in full when we moved out and would not owe anything else. We also never received a "statement of account" which according to Delinda should have been mailed to us 2 days after we moved out but neither of us received anything.
