Old buildings but has character and there has been change of management. Got a great deal when I moved in and for the price they are much better than Wyndchase, previous apartment complex.
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived at. Don't even waste your time, there are plenty of other options in the area. Staff is terrible. The apartment itself is just thrown together. Our silverware had to sit in our upper cabinet because the bottom drawer didn't even open....and there is ZERO closet space. Our Christmas tree had to go in the 2nd bathroom shower. And its a cave. There is no natural light at all. Our average NES bill was approx $160 there is no insulation.
We have not had a positive experience here. The leasing office took weeks to get us a key to our mailbox, and maintenance issues we noted when we moved in still have not been fixed. Our neighbors have also told us that their apartment is infested with slugs and that they have had to pay out of their own pocket to get anything accomplished. Despite changes in management within the leasing office, these issues have remained unaddressed. Definitely look elsewhere.
Office and Management were awful. I had asked to have someone take over my lease as I was leaving early, which they said was fine. I gave them 60 days notice and the office had me sign a notice to vacate form just in case I couldnt find a new tenant so I wouldnt end up paying out the rest of the lease. I called a few weeks later asking for some more information for interested parties, of which I had several, and they told me my apartment had already been rented! I asked for clarification as I had no idea they were going to list it and I would be competing with them to fill the upcoming vacancy. I was never able to get a straight answer on when they listed the unit. The responses ranged from after a few weeks because it was getting close to my move-out date, within a week after I signed that paper, and immediately. Any of these would have been nice to know when I actually informed them I was leaving, as I had fully intended to have someone take it over and avoid any extra penalties. They told me there was no way to rescind my notice to vacate and that I owed a full penalty of one months rent, with absolutely nothing to be done about it. At this point I had done everything I could think of to avoid inconveniencing them and losing them rent money, but apparently that and my status as a good resident didnt matter. A rep informed me theyre going to be refurbishing the unit two days after my move out and new tenant will be moving in shortly thereafter. When I asked what would happen if I couldnt afford to leave due to the penalty, they told me I would have to pay damages to the new tenant since they couldnt offer him a similar unit! This also incurred a forfeit of my security deposit, costing me about $1500.
So far Gavin in the office has been amazing, the maintenance crew is the best!
