High crime. Car being broken into is a common occurrence.

I would like to live here it is closer for me to catch the city bus, and hopefully I will get the right apartment unit because I am disabled.

Down from Chicago for work. Found Capital Towers, Clean, Fair Price, Bug Free. Building Management was so helpful and pleasure to deal with. If I have more work in Nashville I will come back. JC

Moved in two years ago and I can say that for the buildings age this is still a great place to call home! Spacious one bedroom apartment with two sliding glass doors to the balcony that can be accessed by your bedroom or living room. Great view of the city. Love the original 1960s kitchen with built in gas range and built in oven. I always have plenty of hot water so you can take a decent shower unlike other places I've lived with small water tanks. Tile bathroom and spacious vanity area is nice too. Apt has good closet space. Hotel style air conditioning/heating units. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Friendly neighbors too. I find the place to have that 1960 retro style charm that I really like. They remodeled some of the hallways on certain floors that look like a really nice hotel! Some of the other hallways on certain floors are still original to the building and that's fine with me. I like that the apartments on the older floors still have doorbells! I hope that maybe one day they will reopen the swimming pool and picnic areas once again. You can look at that area and see that it once was a beautiful compliment to the building. Anyway, i still say that with all the changes going on in this city the price here can't be beat for downtown with all utilities included! I work in downtown Nashville and I am so glad that there is still a place like this to live at a reasonable price close to my job. That in itself deserves five stars! Thanks Capitol Towers!

Great place

My wife and I have owned two units here for about 10 years. It is very quiet and probably one of the most walkable buildings in downtown. Across from Bicentennial Mall, the Farmer's Market, the Tennessee State Museum, Municipal Auditorium, and two blocks from the main bus depot. There have been great improvements over the past year or so. The lobby, office, and hallways have been remodeled and updated--new lighting, new flooring, security cameras. The exercise room has brand new equipment including new TVs. Improvements are ongoing. Looking forward to the new community center and other features to come.

Under new management, quiet and safe. Unbeatable location for the price. You don’t even need a car. You can walk, scooter, bike or take the free Blue/Green line bus all over downtown. Bicentennial Park and Farmers Mkt right behind the building.
