Wow!!! This has been a pleasant experience for my wife and I. Christina and staff have always gone "the extra mile" when we needed something. Kingwood is so peaceful and quiet. I would say it is even quieter than where I just moved from, and that was a single family house in an older neighborhood. The management describes this place as a "park like setting", that's exactly how I feel when I sit on my patio and have my coffee in the morning, like I'm sitting in a park.
Also, it is my understanding that as "long term residents" move out they are updating the apartments. My wife and have said many times since moving in that the inside of our apartment feels more like a condo than apartment.
I have lived at Kingwood for over 2 years and have loved every minute. The neighbors are nice and we always catch up when I'm walking my dog (big plus - the weight limit for furry ones is higher than a lot of apartments!). Maintenance is always prompt and does things correctly the first time. Christina is definitely committed to making residents feel at home and taken care of. Highly, highly recommend!
Adequate place and location near MTSU with plenty around as far as shopping and food. Good price compared to rest of Murfreesboro area although not as nice as some other apartments but good for what you pay considering the upkeep around the buildings is decent. All in all great for the price but there are better places quality wise
I've lived at Kingwood for almost two years now. It isn't terrible. It's a very quiet neighborhood with a mix of older and younger residents. As far as the interior of the apartments go, it isn't impressive. It looks good in these pictures, but don't let the model fool you. For one, the floors won't look like that. When we moved in our carpets had dark stains in front of where their couch was probably from spilled drinks. There were cigarette burns and in the corner, the carpet was coming up from a shoddy job being done. The appliances are all very old. The building was built in the sixties and apparently the original owners didn't update, so upgrades weren't done until new management took over a few years ago. Our rates in the one bedroom started at $605 and are now up to almost $700, which is high, in my opinion, especially for the state of these apartments. You can tell the pipes leak because the cabinet floors are warped. The cabinets are original and very low quality; they've just been painted over and over again over the years. The walls are the same way. When we put up curtain rods and leveled them with the patio doors, they were still crooked because when they built the property, they didn't level them in the first place. There are a lot of cosmetic issues and some technical ones. The outlets are loose, so you can't use some of them. Our AC unit is out of date because when we set the thermostat, it doesn't maintain that temperature and it runs longer than it should. Obviously, the cosmetic issues aren't what some people are worried about, but I'm merely pointing out what you're paying for, especially since the rates are increasing every few months to pay for the upgrades, yet things aren't necessarily getting any nicer. Overall, it isn't awful. Management is nice and the neighbors aren't too loud, but there are other places that are far nicer for around the same price and also some cheaper ones for the same quality.
