We were pleased with our residence at Chelsea Place. Although we didn't like that our apartment didn't have a balcony or washer and dryer attachments but the staff and office were very friendly and we enjoyed all the activities and events they would have. Loved the pool and grilling area!
Excellent service and amenities.
Place is full of roaches! At night you can see the roaches scatter on the grounds walking up to your apartment door! I went to office multiple times about pest problems and they always sent pest control with water down bug spray and sticky traps. Which did absolutely nothing because I was always back.
So this is my third time trying to leave a review for this apartment. They have blocked the post I made on facebook and blocked me from commenting on it. They have blocked me on their google reviews. This place is disgusting, mice infested, bug infested, mold on the windows, clumpy paint on the cabinets, and they don't clean the carpets when you move in. This place will show you a "new" apartment and then when it is time to move in.. you are moving into a literal dump. All they will tell you is "there is nothing we can do about it" and the management is rude and very unprofessional. The staff there are absolutely clueless. We had mice and they would just dismiss every concern we had. It took till we caught a mice for them to come do anything and even then they just used something from Walmart to slightly seal a hole that was under our kitchen sink.. why was there even a hole to begin with?? any who, they didn't even fix the problem, they made a mess, and went on with the day. luckily we were moving in a month, so we just fixed it as much as we could on our own. They also have huge cracks in the walls from where the place is falling apart and tried to blame us for it.This place is a literal joke. I don't advise anyone livng here. It is also not safe for children. The neighborhood is full of hoodrats.
How in the world does this place get good ratings?! It's one of the worst communities in the area. Although, for this side of town, one of the nicer. Maybe that's the problem, the lowered expectations of the tenant demographic. Their service and quality would never fly in a more upscale community. They are going through a remodel process as the units become vacant but the work/material is still lower quality and certainly less than you'd find in newer communities like 3343 Memorial Apts. The maintenance men are minimalists and only do what they need to mark the tickets as completed, even if it means you have to submit another ticket a week later. And the main pool by the clubhouse/leasing office is locked up for "Maintenance" way too often. It's as if they try to keep it presentable for potential renters by keeping tenants from using it. And even when it is open the lock takes 5-10 minutes to open. They keep telling us it's the key but then they've replaced our key 4 times this Summer already. It's only Mid-July and my 2nd floor apt A/C can't get us lower than 79 degrees inside. And that's only as long as we don't open the front door to go in and out. One of my downstairs neighbors smokes pot about every week and you can smell it. Though sometimes the local skunk seems to drown out the smell with it's own. (The skunk smell doesn't bother me). And every once in a while, (about three times since I moved in 6 months ago) you get a live show of police to watch, like two weeks ago when four police went running across the grass outside my balcony door towards one of the other buildings. I hate this place and have seriously contemplated breaking my lease.
