What Renters Like and Dislike About Manchester

I was unique about this neighborhood is that there's lots of trees and mature landscape. Favorite local businesses wow that's tough one there's lots of fast food places and there's a Town Square that's got some little shops especially if you like antiques.

It is quiet and private. Neighbors look out for each other.stores and restaurants are within 10 miles with plenty of choices.

What I like most about my neighborhood, its quit, you can see the stars for miles and we can have non fires and watch the animals creep thur the night.

Great neighbors. Quiet neighbors. Slow street, so my kids can ride their bikes down the street while i walk with them

My fiance and I love to shop we like to go to Walmart Verizon shoe sensation pizza hut Mexican food and walking our neighborhood

Living in Manchester, TN

Manchester, a small town in Tennessee, has a population of slightly less than 10,000. Young professionals should feel welcome, as they make up an above-average 18% of the community. Overall, the town's population, with an average age of just over 37, is younger than most cities in Tennessee. In terms of housing, residents are fairly evenly split between owning (51%) and renting (49%) their home. The trend is driven in part by a relatively affordable average rent of $743/month, which is $140 less than the state average.

Manchester residents have an average commute of about 23 minutes, shorter than the state average of about 25 minutes. Many residents (40%) commute to work by car or truck, while public transit is not used. Walking isn't a common method of commuting to work.

Compared to the national average, Manchester has a high percentage of residents older than 25 with a high school degree or equivalent (25%). Additionally, 8% possess a Bachelor's degree and 4% have a Master's or Doctoral degree. There are two primary industries in Manchester: manufacturing and retail. Together, these industries account for 17% of the workforce in the town. Meanwhile, in terms of job function, many of the town's workers are in transportation, as 8% of the town's population reports this as their field of work, the highest number of any field. Manchester workers take home an average annual income of just over $60,000, roughly the same as those elsewhere in the state. However, Manchester compares less favorably to the national average ($73,345).
