The Pointe At Five Oaks

I previously did a review a year or so ago after we had moved in and gotten settled here at The Pointe at Five Oaks. We've been here over two years now and please hear me when I say "Run, go get an apartment anywhere else but here" and there are a lot better run, better priced apartments here in the Lebanon area. The apartments got bought out at the end of last year. The new company has been absolutely atrocious. Between the buyout in November to now, we've had a multitude of maintenance men (they either get fired or leave), we're on our second property manager, second or third assistant property manager, and who know what number of our office staff. Further, I did not even know who the current property manager was until I had to go into the office. Communication here is positively dreadful. We used to have community events, but not anymore. When we first moved in 2 years ago, our rent for our 2b/2ba was $1100, at lease renewals, we are now up to $1245. The apartments with the same exact layout coming up for lease are renting at over $1600. I have no doubt that they would be trying to renew us at that rate if we were staying. We are definitely not staying. In addition, on your bill, you will pay $5 a month for pest control (I have NEVER seen pest control here), and they charge you $1.50 for the very privilege of paying your rent. Further issues, apparently I was not even on the lease with my husband for the 2.5 years I've lived here with my husband. I was told yesterday, I would need to pay a fee to apply to live in the apartment with my husband that I've already lived in the last 2.5 years! When I inquired about why? I thankfully got out of paying the fee because I had receipts from when we first leased the apartment and I had inquired about this very thing! Anyway, we finally got me on the lease, only to discover it is a 13 month lease so we're stuck here for an extra month. I can only anticipate what will come our way here in the remaining months of the lease.

I went in for information, was given a pamphlet instead of someone having an actual conversation with a potential resident. Very unprofessional. First impression is HUGE in this industry and they are portraying as if they do not care at all.
