I lived in this complex 3 years ago during my last year of undergrad. When I came back to Knoxville for a job, it was one of the first places I looked at. It was a no-brainer and I moved back. The management and maintenance staff are super friendly and hard working! One thing that definitely made me feel comfortable coming back was that the manager who was here before was still the manager. There isn't a lot of turnover which just shows me how much they value this community!
First of all, this is an overpriced apartment complex and their pest control is crappy.
I dealt with numerous spiders and wasps, I complained to the apartment complex multiple times and nothing ever seemed to ever change with pests.
During my stay they tried to ticket me a $50 dollar parking fine for parking on the curb even though there isnt enough parking spaces for their residents or guests. Multiple residents have no where to park daily. I was advised by the office to get the courtesy office to walk me home and park at the bottom of the complex alllll the way to my apartment, which was the very back of the lot.
This was not a convenient option for me, as I was driving to and from Crossville, Tennessee daily and my work schedule permitted me to arrive home as late as 1 am.
Also, the apartment had mold on the wall that started appearing three or four months after I moved in. They tried to say it was due to indoor plants? I had none.
And to make things worse, after I moved out, I ASKED whenever I turned my keys in do I owe anything? Their response was no after checking, and I LET THEM KNOW that the resident portal wouldnt let me log in. I was told that I would be contacted if I owed any rent or money. They did NOT email prior to my account going to collections, nor did I receive a letter in the mail until TWO days after my move out month date was up. So whenever I called they told me that there wasnt anything they could do as I signed my agreement and I missed my window. How was I supposed to know if I wasnt contacted, couldnt log into the resident portal, or receive a letter in a timely fashion???
They told me the one who handled my account left the company and apologized about the collections issue but there wasnt anything they could do. I paid my rent on time every month.
I would not recommend them to anyone. I honestly feel like a mistake on their behalf should not equal residents being punished. This is not how business should be handled.
So far my experience at here has been nothing but positive.
The staff here is great. The community manager and the maintenance workers are very prompt, professional, and accommodating.
We sold our house and needed a place to live fast. The office staff was great. The apartment has lots of space.
