Ive had two wonderful experiences with Colony Manor. First, I lived here with my two young children years ago. I felt safe every day and loved my patio and the pool. The maintenance crew immediately assisted if I ever had any needs. The neighbors were all courteous. My most meaningful experience is having had my mother live in a two-bedroom apartment here for 18 years, before passing away early this year. She always said it was a home, not an apartment. She loved sitting on her porch swing and visiting with long-time neighbors. She planted a beautiful flower garden. She always felt safe, secure and looked after. Ive become friends with many of her neighbors and they all feel like a community. The management maintains exceptionally high standards, which mandates that the property is well-kept, clean, quiet, respectful. I have recommended Colony Manor to many people, several of whom live there still. Lou from Nashville
I have lived in Colony Manor Apartments off and on for many years. It is a GREAT place to live and raise your family. The complex is what I call a cabin in the woods it is a quiet little place, off the beaten path. For those of us who have lived here for a while, we consider our neighbors our family. We dont have to worry about people driving through the complex because we are off the beaten path. The neighbors are courteous and respectful of each other.
When it snows, I have seem everyone get out and help each other clear the sidewalks and cars. In the spring, the neighbors that plant flower gardens are willing to share trimmings with each other.
When someone new moves in we say hello and introduce ourselves.
It is sad to hear the issues the individual wrote on the November 8 review. I have not seen the dumpster diving, or heard a pick-up trucks train horn. My question, did you bring the issues you have mentioned to the attention of management? I'm sure it would have been addressed quickly. With that said, any time I have had a concern or had a maintenance issue, it was resolved quickly. I have friends that want to move into Colony Manor Apartment for the above reasons. They havent moved in yet, because it is rare to find a vacancy. I give this complex a rating of 5 Stars
I have been living here since 2015. I love this place and am proud to call it home. I have never heard or seen anyone being discriminated against due to race, religion, or sexual preference. I'm not perfect and my neighbors aren't either, but If we have an issue we can talk it out and resolve it in a respectful manner. We have a wonderful manager who listens and cares for her tenants. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a safe and secure community. They always have a waiting list, so what does that tell you. I'm glad I chose Colony Manor and grateful for them allowing me to live here.
The great reviews are by people who have lived here forever, and their family members all live here too, and if you are not a family member by marriage or blood, of if you don't fit into their specific beliefs or are outside the "norm", and not a straight white person they will let you feel very unwelcome, like when my downstairs neighbor flipped out when my stepson ran across the floor, making noise, so we apologized and tried to be quiet. However their grandkids, who all lived here as well, ran up and down the stairs next to my door sometimes til after 11PM, and one fo their son's who lived there also, would drive by and lay on his pick up truck's train horn at 6:30AM, EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you aren't related to the family who lives here or aren't from the "good ole boy" club then they will have you out. And don't get me started on the residents dumpster diving...
I lived here for 3 years and love it! Would more than likely still be there if my job had not provided a discount somewhere else. I love Aurora she is totally the BEST!
