Been living here for almost 3 years. Really nice place until new mgmt took over...now dont seem to care about tenants. Have had 2 problems since new mgmt...one resolved one still NO answer!
I have been renting with Camden Grove for 3+ years and never really had major problems until a few months ago. Recently the office staff has been changing like crazy and small requests have been left undone. Currently I have a roof leak that has been leaking for 2 months. Several calls and messages to the office have gone unanswered. I had to go to the office in person to get answers, was told that it was being handled, believed the staff only to realize the roof had not been fixed when it leaked again. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone who expects major issues like a roof leak to be fixed in a reasonable time period. I was shown no sympathy for my situation what so ever and was really in my opinion handled in a unprofessional manner. Not to mention everyday that I leave my apartment I see roofers fixing the unoccupied apartments. The response from the office manager to that slap in the face was she could not pull those contracted employees from one job to complete another and that separate contractors would need to be called in for my fix. Communication goes a long way and there is a major lack of it in the office at Camden Grove Apartments.
I fell in love with the place solely from what I saw on the web and decided to make the 5-hr drive to basically seal the deal. Due to delays during the drive I arrived at about 15 minutes before closing. I was refused a tour of the apartment, in spite of my plea that viewing the property was my sole purpose for driving 5-hrs. If this was any indication of the type of service I would receive--absolutely no compassion from the staff--then I think I made the wrong choice. Drove a few blocks down the road and found a better place with an awesome property manager. When it comes to spending my hard-earned money, good customer service is KEY. A good manager would have taken the 15-mins to accommodate a potential customer who arrived at approximately 2:45pm on a day when you close at 3:00pm. I hope I'm the exception but I wouldn't recommend this location solely due to my experience.
Ive been a resident for almost 6 months. Im a nurse, student and a laid back person. I give people the benefit of the doubt and dont complain about anything unless its absolutely necessary. The apartment itself is nice and I honestly like it. What I DONT like is the second hand smoke! I inhale second hand smoke almost daily because the people above me are constantly smoking. Just recently went to the office about it and was first asked Is it weed or tobacco?. I said Im sure it is tobacco. I was then told tobacco is legal...we cant ask them to smoke outside. So, the people above me have the right to enjoyment of property, smoke as they please, but I have to inhale it. In the lease agreement there is mention that tenants arent supposed to do anything that is a nuisance to other tenants. Is smoking not a nuisance. In addition to that a health hazard?!
The BIGGEST issue I had was the lack of concern or empathy by the property manager. Im not expecting she would move a finger to do anything so I definitely WONT renew a lease.
If you have children, asthma, or just dont like smoke (like myself), if you have a neighbor that smokes you will just have to deal with it per the property manager.
I wouldnt advise anyone to move here and be treated this way unless you obviously smoke.
Great place to live. My wife and I were resident physicians while we lived here and loved all 4 years. Great place to live. It was quiet, staff was friendly and helpful. I really have no complaints
1 and 2 bedrooms apartments, each with free attached garages and private entrances.
