I have been a very pleased tenant for 7 year now. As a single woman, safety is a major concern of mine.I have never had a problem AT ALL.

Dogwood Creek has been catching some bad publicity the past few weeks about the safety of the complex. If you watch the news or read reports online, you will notice that there has been 6 crimes committed in the past 2 weeks that are very uncharacteristic of Collierville. Dogwood Creek just happened to be the first one that was reported.
I am a proud resident of Dogwood Creek for over 10 years and have NEVER had the feeling that I was not safe.
My heart goes out to the victim of the crime.

Initially I was very excited to move into Dogwood Creek Apartments because of the pricing. I was leaving a much nicer apartment complex with better amenities, facilities and apartments. Due to changing circumstances I needed to downsize. The staff is very nice, however the property leaves quite a bit to be desired. My biggest complaint is the lack of an adequate heating system and the fact that some rooms don't receive heat at all. The complex uses a Geo heating system which means gas has to heat water to a high enough temperature to warm the air that blows past the water. Quite simply, it doesn't work. I turn my heat on in the mornings and it has to be on for at least 2 hours before my apartment is even moderately warm. It is an absolute travesty and the only thing maintenance has to say is that the way it is. The system is extremely loud and just blows around cool air. I would much rather pay more in rent to live in an apartment that is adequately heated during the winter months. Living here, at Dogwood Creek, I am paying so much more in heating costs and getting very little in return. In addition, there are stop gap measures throughout the apartment with regard to cabinetry, flooring, paint, trim work and the blinds, just to name a few things. In fact, the blinds are so old and brittle they break if you pull them back to peek out. The on-site laundry room is affordable but the hot water is actually cold in the washing machines. The machines are dirty and not well kept. The on-site gym is due for a renovation in January so that is the one and ONLY plus for living here. If you have children, there are lots of other children for them to play with. I am looking forward to moving out. I shouldn't have to buy heaters to heat my apartment. My master bath gets NO HEAT AT ALL as only a trickle of air xinez out if the vent. Maintenance gas said there is nothing that can do. A master bath with no heat - delightful right? And my apartment isn't the only one with this issue
