Great ! They did fanfastic
First where to start from the time I moved in I was greated with great customer service by Lori and Tyler at the front desk I also had interactions with Stephanie who has always been very helpful with whatever issues or questions I have. Despite other reviews I've seen about independence I must say my experience is not the same here. The ones complaining about the trash are part of the issue here the management provided a large roll off dumpster in the parking lot and nobody would use the trash compactor also provided so instead of when the roll off became full they just pulled the garbage around the roll off. Maintenance has ALWAYS knocked on my door very loudly sometimes scaring me I've never seen Steven the head maintenance guy walk into any unit unannounced. I can literally hear him knocking and yelling maintenance from the first floor. I live on the third floor. Maintenance has always taken care of my issues very quickly. Usually within a few hours of calling my service request in unless it's a part that needs to be ordered. I have never been left without anything working in my apartment. Others complain about walls being paper thin. I have never been in ANY apartment where I could not hear my neighbors. Its called shared living for a reason! Don't like it move into a house.
Two people have been murdered here within the past 6 months. One of them being in the parking lot tonight. Staff is horrid, and constant drug activity happening. Not a place for kids, or soldiers.
This is my second time staying with Indp.Plc, in Clarksville, Is trash a problem, kinda. But, military life styles make trash generation worse. Most Monday morning while warming up my truck I see a lot of non-residents swing into our complex who dump their stuff into our bins. But, management does provide additional dumpsters to help, and they pick up all the bags off the ground that "we" leave. So, we are part of the problem. Bugs, tell me any house you've ever lived in didn't have bugs. There are no problem bugs like roaches and bed bugs. That would be an issue. I've found management to be reasonable. Most residents are I've overheard in the office have not been reasonable. Moving in, my apartment was clean and everything worked. After a snow storm our parking lots were plowed and sidewalks salted. What is a problem are pet owners who let their animals defecate anywhere and don't clean it up. If you are a reservist and need a place to stay I'd recommend Independence Place and renting furniture from Buddys Home Furnishings. Its safe and has easy access to post. Took a star off for all the pets. That's not managements problem though.
They think they can get away with having awful customer service and living conditions because of their location to post. Bottom floor apartments have lots of bugs, specifically centipedes. Trash is a huge problem. Trash compactor is over filled and the cardboard only bin is spilling out too. Office staff is short and rude. Seems like they care more about future residents than caring for their current residents. Any remodeling has been half-assed and looks shoddy. Don't live here unless you absolutely have to.
