Your life is on the go - work, meetings, school, eats and hangouts all connected by a series of quick jaunts along the busy streets of downtown. And now, finding a cool place to live right in the middle of everything - on a budget - is a reality.
Located in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga at the corner of 6th and Pine Streets, The 300 offers newly-renovated New York-style apartments for rent just blocks away from many of Downtown Chattanooga?s best restaurants, bars and attractions. This central downtown location allows for easy access to all that Downtown Chattanooga has to offer. The 300 is the answer to affordable downtown living.
The 300 was originally built to serve as a downtown nursing and assisted living home known as the St. Barnabas Apartments. After significant renovation, the building has now been completely transformed into rental apartments for people of all professions and ages. The location of The 300 makes it possible for UTC students to walk or bike to class or for professionals to be close to their jobs. The renovations include new stainless appliances, modern cabinetry and bathroom fixtures, granite countertops, energy-efficient windows and light fixtures, and fresh paint and floor coverings.
The 300 offers amenities that make for easy living. Equipped with your choice of gated or on-site parking, The 300 offers residents a safe and convenient place to park downtown. Laundry facilities are located on-site, as well as spacious storage units, a patio with a fire pit and grills, a media room with theater seating, and a meeting room exclusively for residents? use.
The Downtown YMCA, located directly across the street from The 300, offers special rates to residents, making it convenient and inexpensive to work out so close to home!
The building offers 112 studio and 1-bedroom units ranging from 375 to 750 square feet. Two elevators allow for easy access to all 10 floors of the building. The card-access entryway provides security for residents, and an intercom system allows for convenient visitor access.
Never had a problem! Parking can sometimes be an issue but it really isn't that bad.
It's noisy. It claims to be a smoke free facility, but on the contrary there are residents who constantly smoke on a day to day basis. Parking is terrible, you either have to be people to the punch or risk having to park in the church parking lot, which has specific parking times. If there aren't any spaces available in the apartment's parking lot and you can't park in the church parking lot then you have to pray that you can find a free space by the meter, just make sure you move it super early the next day or risk being ticketed. The apartments themselves are like living in little matchboxes. There's barely enough room for one person, much less if you add in your belongings. Not worth it for the price, though I will say it's worth it if you're a single individual with little to no stuff.
Roaches, slack management, mold and if you have asthma and/or allergies then this place would never be for you. Smoke from the constant smoking of weed fills the halls each night
