I'll keep it short. Good luck getting any repairs completed quickly or ever at this place. Their management staff are friendly however maintenance staff rarely follow through with fixing issues even after reporting the issues multiple times. I never write reviews but I'm just tired of dealing with the lack of follow through and don't want anyone else to sign a lease without knowing what they're getting into. Riverview Grande is a nice place overall, just beware if anything breaks.
I have been living here since October. The model was wonderful and perfect but they said they couldn't show us the actual apartment we were renting because "someone was in the process of moving out." When I arrived to move in, they couldn't find the keys to the apartment. They told me to just go down there and see if it was locked. Luckily (?) I ran into the carpet cleaning guy who was leaving and it was unlocked, but all the carpets were soaking wet making moving in next to impossible. My apartment smelled like mold, but we thought it was just the carpet. There are also 3 rotten spots in the floor that are covered up with vinyl flooring and you sink down every time you step on one. There is a large white patch of plaster on a beige wall, there are no cabinet doors in the kitchen, a broken screened-in door, and there are no laundry room doors. I listed all of this on my move-in assessment forms and put in and asked for them to be fixed on those forms. Fast forward 10 months and the only thing that has been addressed are the cabinet doors and the laundry room doors, and those took probably 3 months and 8 phone calls (&thelaundry room doors were installed incorrectly and broke). About half of those ended with, "I'm not sure when they're coming, let me call them real quick and I'll call you back," and no call back. The apartment still smells like mold. There is mold growing under the sink and in the cabinets. I didn't have plumbing for 24 hrs because their "emergency 24hr maintenance service" is a joke. There are bugs. The neighbors above have several dogs that run up and down the hall and bark all night (well after midnight) and several complaints have done absolutely nothing. I have been renting apartments since 2008 and several I stayed in for consecutive years because they were so wonderful. This has been the first that I've seriously considered breaking my lease to get out of. The location is great, but it is not worth it unless you don't plan on being home.
Don't do it... stay away. This is an honest review
Often times you can weed out one or two bad reviews and realize sometimes people just have bad experiences. In this apartments case, all the negative reviews are correct. Do not live here!
Awful. Poorly managed use weasel words around everything they say, so you can't get a straight answer for anything. When I sign my lease I signed up for what I was told was a $200 cleaning fee. Now that I've moved they're charging me $200 for cleaning. They say that $200 (cleaning) fee was a non-refundable deposit that doesn't cover cleaning.
