We live in the Parks at Nexton Apartments and we are vacating specifically because of new management under Kettler. The property common areas are not clean, are in disrepair and are infested with insects that are over and above what might be normal or comfortable. Everytime you open your door, cockroaches are ready to come in from the hallway and the common areas/lights are filled with spider pods with thousands of babies and spiders everywhere. The staff is incapable of electronic records, sends out nasty 'bill reminders' even when you pay your bill, can't get bills right and they can't get an automatic payment processed. The mail room is locked during regular business hours and maintenance either doesn't show up for requested maintenance or they show up without notice for maintenance issues that don't even exist. All communication from the office is 'stuck in your door' even on windy days and even if it is of a personal nature. They needed three (redundant, different) forms just to allow us to vacate when our lease ends. And biggest issue ... they don't answer phones during regular business hours for existing tenants and if you go in to the office, they approach a tenant like the tenant is interrupting their day (the last occasion in which we went in to the office was because they sent out a notice in error that we had a package in the office when we didn't). Not a pleasant place to live at all. And for the record, we live in one of the largest units, pay more rent than most (over $1,600) and always pay on time (when they are capable of processing payment).
