I lived here for 10 months and I hated it so bad. Please do not trust these people at all. As soon as they get your money. They won't have anything else to do with you. It takes weeks for maintenance issues, the apartments haven't been updated since the 1970's, and they can't keep a good cleaning crew and maintenance crew so you are on your own. Some people never have gotten
things fixed in there apartment because the company wants people who were living here when the weather's were in charge to move to another apartment and charge them higher rent. It was much better when the weather's were in charge. They cared more about people than money. They never answer there phone and if you tell them about drugs, disrespectful neighbors, noise or domestic violence then they consider you complaining and you get on there bad side. They want to charge you for any and everything and treat you any kind of way and expect you to be quiet and put up with there mess. On top of all that, I only had running hot water for 5 minutes to take a shower and I payed a 100 dollars out of my pocket to steam clean the carpet and now they want to sue me for over a thousand dollars because they claim I broke my lease. I gave them plenty of notice, a legit excuse and they signed the document for me to leave. I was also told in the beginning of my least that if I had to go just give them 60 day notice and I'll be fine but when the time came they got amnesia and now want to sue me. Lots of people here are unhappy and ready to leave. The proper authorities need to get involved.

I currently reside here. When I moved in August of last year the apartment was FILTHY. I was coming from out of state and they knew two months in advance. I had to clean the apartment myself. Maintenance is horrible. I have a dishwasher that is STILL broken from when I first moved in. The appliances are old and out dated. My stove has gone out twice while in the mist of cooking. The first time it took two days for someone to come fix it. The second time five days! Don't bother calling the leasing office, they don't return calls. On the flip side, this apt complex is conveniently located, quiet for the most part, and the neighbors are friendly. The rent however, is no where near reasonable for what you're living in. South Carolina overall is over priced when it comes to apartments. Needless to say, I will not be renewing my lease.

I lived there for 18 years (just moved out in Jan 2018). Weathers were wonderful owners and landlords but this new company is a nightmare. May 2016 rent went up $235 and in Nov 2017 rent went up another $290 with 8 days notice. My apt had 18 year old carpet/linoleum, no paint in 18 years, same stove & refrigerator. I was paying what people in a completely redone apt were paying & in some cases even more. Evictions were happening frequently and drugs were becoming a problem. In my building we had 5 tenants with over 80 years living there. now it's like rats bailing a sinking ship. They don't return calls. Broke washing machine sat for over 4 month (only 3 in laundry room) - Mr. Weathers would not have let it sit for 4 days. end of an era for Summerville. My rent went up p136% in 18 months.
