The three stars are for Megan, Mike, and the fact that this is a beautiful place to live. However, in the midst of the change in management and the people who made this a great tight knit community leaving (due to the change in management), the sense of community is no longer prominent. This lack of community seems to have caused some residents to be okay with being a nuisance to those around them. That includes those that insist on being ridiculously loud (and lying about it to management) and those who stand in front of the entranceways to smoke without regard to the health of others. This is a couple things amongst a host of others. Due to circumstances, I will have to renew my lease for another year. Unfortunately, I will be leaving my little home next Summer. I appreciate the management for attempting to solve the problem, but its just that a few individuals arent going to respect the fact that others live around them. When theyre able to convince management with their untruths, that tells me its time to go. I do not like having to call police officers to go to someones apartment. That can be very traumatic (especially if there is a child present in the apartment). Especially with the current climate of our society, I do not want to make any person feel backed into a corner in their home (especially with not knowing their perception of law enforcement or their past experiences). Since trying to think of others obviously doesnt work around here anymore, I will have to take that route. That breaks my heart. Its such a sad experience seeing the decline of the sense of community.

This was a tight knit community with very high retention rates until the new regional manager and new property manager began hiking prices, changing locks, and never making themselves or maintenance accessible to the community. It went from feeling like a community to feeling like every other apartment complex around, where you are just a dollar sign (which I could get for a significantly less price down the road). Sure, the apartments are cool, but the grounds are not being maintained and the property as a whole is going down significantly since the new management took over in February 2018. Thankfully my lease is up in May and I will never again choose a Stonemark managed property.

Mayfair is, honestly, the best place Ive ever lived! Not only is it beautiful and historic, its super close to just about everything youll need (the mall, restaurants, etc.) on the west side of Spartanburg. Some of my favorite things about my Mayfair apartment were the high ceilings, tall windows, and exposed brick. I felt like I was getting way more than what I paid for. Not to mention, any time I had a light bulb burn out, or a closet door come off the track, the maintenance crew responded almost immediately. The management at Mayfair, might I add, is absolutely AMAZING!! I considered them my friends and always had a blast hanging with them in the awesome Mayfair clubhousedancing, playing pool, throwing darts, and so much more. One of the best things about Mayfair is that the people who run the place really want to get to know you and want to make sure you are always happy there. They host several awesome events throughout the year that appeal to and attract almost every possible tenant. I will admit, Mayfair definitely spoiled me; and I truly believe I will never find a better place to live. The only reason I left my friends at Mayfair was because of my job, but I definitely plan to return in the future.

Ok place they think very highly of it very noisy the staff are difficult to deal with and off site management even more difficult.
