One of the most scenic and beautiful places to live in and around Clemson that offers spectacular views and gorgeous sunsets. The problem is, it is the worst run - and poorly managed facilities in town. The staff has no backbone, the grounds are not cared for and the facilities are gross to put it bluntly. The pool certificate was 3 months expired and there were dead animals floating in the lazy river. Mice ran through the workout room and trash was everywhere inside and out. The weight room was disgusting and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The parking lots are full of debris, broken down cars, oil spills, trash, boats, motorcycles, used furniture and anything else they want to "park" in a spot. Porches all over both properties are littered with trash and material. The lake shoreline is covered in plastic, glass, cans, and all sorts of party debris. There was even a toilet down by the beach. Bags of trash sit in breezeways for weeks at a time and you can walk behind any of the buildings and see old computer parts, cans, animal waste and just about anything else. The natural areas are overrun with weeds.
If you have choice this is not the place to choose. The "gated" community is for show. There are no established ground rules for conduct so people do as they please. One apt in building 7 has so many bikes they keep some of them inside and parts are all over the grounds outside. The staff doesn't care because the management doesn't care and there is little support on the weekends to keep the place as a destination. Great idea, beautiful view, expensive, but not worth the money.
This is a very newly built separate unit apartments. It even has a restaurant at the entrance. I would love to live here. It has everything!
