The Palmer

The main manager out of Florence is probably the most heartless person I have ever talked to. My two boys lived here for eight months before one of them took his own life and his brother found him. Because he could no longer live there after finding his brother due to the trauma they still made him pay the rest of the lease along with the damages that his brother had inflicted on the apartment from the way he died, I was told by her she had assessed the damages and my living son would have to pay for that as well. The damages she spoke of where that what was left of my deceased son . Unbelievable .

Units here are poorly built. We have had multiple issues with water leaks. There are so many issues with the building/structure of these apartments that maintenance has a waiting list. Corporate /front office does no notify residents of any fees owed unless its over $100. Front office does not take rent payments, and mails them to corporate to get processed. As a result of the front office not mailing our first cashiers check in on time we were charged a late fee and was not notified. The units have thin walls, door locks come loose, trash around the area, ac units have had issues and constant work trucks parked all over blocking side walk areas and parking. If you dont have to move here please dont its a waste of money.

I would love to say that this is a great place to live, and as far as the actual apartments go its not bad. But the maintenance is very poor here and it shows. Our breezeways are infested with spiders so every time you come home you may have to be prepared to walk through several webs. My current building (12) has had throw up on the stairs for two weeks now and still no one has come to clean it. They will come and clean the breezeways maybe every couple months which is extremely annoying when you pay pretty decent money to live in a place. The amenities are also very poor. The office hardly feels like its even an office and the pool is very sad and always has hot water (far from refreshing). At this point Id honestly say youd be better off paying the extra $200 for the luxury apartments next door because the entire setting is so much more worth it. I love my apartment itself, (though they could have used a better paint for the walls), and my closet is huge (which is about the only thing that makes it worth it) but I would NOT recommend this neighborhood. We pay too good of money for such poor maintenance and amenities.
