Never got back in time

I was supposed to move in on a Monday, but I was informed the unit was under maintenance when I arrived and would not be ready until Wednesday morning. I was put in a temporary unit during this time. The original unit was still not ready by Wednesday afternoon! It was missing a fridge/freezer and oven/stove, there was black mold in all of the kitchen caulking/grout, all of the ceilings were stained, the W/D closet door didn't work, and the front door needed replacement. I was able to break the lease, but had to put up a fight to do so. Something else worth noting: this community is not in Park Circle. It's in a dangerous part of North Charleston 2 miles south of Park Circle. As other comments have mentioned, the 5 star reviews you might see here are all fake. Friedlam Partners (the company that "manages" the Icon) is a scam ring that traps low-income citizens in contracts for old, dirty, and unsafe housing. The photos on their website are extremely misleading, and staff is completely unhelpful. Do not apply here.

Just went and checked out a two-bedroom townhouse that was just renovated, and I must say I was actually really impressed, I never would have guessed it would have been that upgraded. Lizz help me figure out which of their options would be best for me and was friendly and knowledgeable. Just put my application in and can't wait to move in.
