Renting after owning a home/condo over 30 years ago I enjoy someone else to take care of problems that arise. Brighton Place is mostly clean, quiet and well landscaped to make it even more enjoyable. Since I am on 2nd floor I find the noise level average and acceptable. Renters in this unit respect others privacy. I did not know what to expect facing a parking lot however it is surprisingly quiet. My porch has privacy from the birch tree, a perk I enjoy.
Management stays on top of residents' concerns.
Much too expensive for what is provided - no pool - no amenities except hook up for washer and dryer. Manager appears to not want to repair anything. Had to purchase rubber stopper for bath tub which was broken. Moved in to stained carpet for which we were charged to clean when we left. We cleaned the stove when we moved in becuase is was unacceptable. We had to give up most of our deposit and cleaning stove was on the list of reasons why. Dog poop found on balcony when we moved in. Promised a spring cleaning outside to remove spiders and webs, but it never happened. Porch rails were filthy when we moved in. At the time we lived there, "in-house" maintenance was not provided. Her ex-husband did what he could but he was a far cry from an actual maintenance man, though he was extremely nice and tried. There are many more things I could list. Very unhappy with our stay here.
I had to break my lease agreement early. I went and advertised for new tenants myself ( it was only right since I was breaking the lease early) and found one within 30 days after I moved out. Management said everything was fine but they kept my deposit and charged me for an extra months rent. They tell you one thing and then not honor it. There are nicer places that are less dubious in their business model.
This area is fine for children or seniors, and lots of places to shop.
