Great location, but you have to love living with rats. I have asked management for a year too get rid of the rats and no response. I have set my own traps, I have trapped 4 as to date, harbor Pointe 0. The rats have chewed a hole behind my stove, under my sink, and in my closet, and yet they raise your rent 100$ a year

I will soon to be former resident. Due to the fact that I've gone without adequate air-conditioning for a month this year and I have gone without adequat A/C half a month last year! My past three electric bills have been _over_ $350.00!! I can't get it lower than 74 in the evening and I can't keep it under 80 in the afternoon some days it's almost 100 in my apartment. Two weeks after we moved in my son coded at the hospital three times due to his asthma and allergy to the mold in the apartment. Thank God we have finally found a medicine that keeps him breathing, but they wouldn't check out any of the mold issues because they said it would cost me $275 extra dollars and could come up with any more money since they've nickeled and dime to me to death for various reasons that were nonsense. I was told they never had a case of mold here in the apartment complex and if I were to check I would have to use their person to check and even if I got it tested from somewhere else and it comes as mold they won't take that into consideration only their guy and what he says. I've been in good standing with these people and they have given me the runaround. I have never had this many problems living anywhere else. I moved from one apartment to another apartment and signed a new lease. I got two kittens and I was told they would waive the pet fee due to the last apartment going so long without air-conditioning. Then that employee was no longer there and new management came in (three months later)
and they said she could not waive that fee and they charge me $600 ( which I promptly paid). They later try to say that I had some kind of violation for a dog (I haven't owned a dog since I've lived here) and they said I had a cat violation because I never paid my pet fee for my cats (which I have a receipt for)!! The apartment owners are not local and they don't care about the tenets!!!

The roofing materials have sat outside of apartment building #317 since te beginning of this year. They were to be moved in May and this has not been completed. It is against code to have the materials there and against code to be exposed to outdoor weather and be used. This needs to be removed ASAP.

The staff is rude and never available. You better hope you get stuck next to good neighbors or they will be terribly rude and complain frequently.

The condition of some of the buildings are an eye-sore. I have a huge problem when it rains as there are no gutters and water rushes onto my porch almost entering through my sliding glass doors to the porch. I've been told numerous times that my building will be getting gutters but to no avail. I've taken pictures of the water as it rushes into my porch. Fixing this would make my experience here more pleasurable.

Come home to the quiet, side of Mount Pleasant, away from the traffic and hustle and bustle. We're minutes from downtown Charleston, the picturesque area of Shem Creek, shopping, and of course, the sandy beaches of Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms. Spend more time where you want to be and less time getting there. Come home to Harbor Pointe... the cure for traffic congestion!
