My lease began on October 10, 2017 in Apt.C-14. I have discovered a disturbing amount of ants and roaches in my apartment since the beginning of my stay. Up to this day, my wife and I have made now, 6, verbal complaints regarding the ant and roach infestation issue in Apt. C-14. I have spoken with multiple staff members, including the property manager about this issue and have documented each encounter regarding this issue.

I have been given false dates for treatments on 2 occasions as well as being home for 1 treatment where Clarks Pest Control only sprayed behind the toilet and kitchen sink and left. I was told by staff that my apartment would be bombed once in November as well as December and to remove my animal during the treatment only to come home to the same issue and still up until this day, my apartment has not been bombed. During the 3 months of staying in this apartment there has not been one day that I have not seen roaches in my apartment even after spraying myself.

After addressing this issue with management, there was an option to move into the apartment above my current unit, Apt. C-24, after walking through with management I felt more comfortable moving into that unit due to the recent repairs to the flooring which required the appliances to be removed. I was ensured by management that the apartment was sprayed while the appliances were out to remedy the pest issue.

When we returned to discuss the terms of the rental agreement for Apt. C-24 I felt completely disrespected by management for attempting to charge me over $900 for the same unit with partial-upgrades(laminate flooring) and the same amount of roaches. Only after stating that I am a Realtor and have experience in real-estate as well did management decide that I could rent the unit for the 12 month rate of $746. Although I kept my composure during the conversation I did not appreciate the fact that the management was falling short and still trying to charge me more money.

The property manager allows a couple to stay after the police has been called on them over 10 times.People use the pool from all over columbia.No one monitors the pool.Tires get slashed over night & car are broken into overnight it's so sad and scary I want to break my lease but can't afford it.Im just hoping for a change because I pay $1,015 a month to stay in the hood waters edge Apartments no security no nothing. Also my service request takes forever to get resolved but every morning I see Maintaince at the pool getting it ready to open for 3-4 hours.Dont rent here your not safe.

I would not recommend living here. There are bug problems, no security, and one morning a few residents tires were slashed and broken windshields, and management did nothing about it. Management here is a joke.
